Well i got a new bank account today and i was like yay FFXI next month was i so Fucking wrong so i'm sitting there and the teller comes back over and says your all set to go and i'm like thanks trying to be nice right then i'm like when Will i get my Debit card? she was like umm 6 months from now what!!!!!!!!!!!! you gotta me joking right? the teller then tells me i gotta built some kind of credit with the bank befor i can get my Debit card, Yeah i don't understand hand me a check book but not a Debit card..........i took my little stack of check books walked out pissed off!!!!!

Before anyone asked yes i when to many banks in my town and they all about the same funny thing is i can get a Credit card in the mail quicker then i can get my Debit card lord forbid i get my card and time soon......

i lived in Lubbock,Tx the banks there are great some same day other a few weeks Illinois banks are Bullshit! why get a check book but no debit card......

idk i'm going to find out if i can pay with my account number........

I opened my checking account in Lubbock, heh. Mike, I suggest you go with Wells Fargo. Free online banking pwns.

Use a credit and build up a decent credit rating. Works the same if you don't let it affect your spending amounts.

Go to CapitalOne.com, or look into Bank of America. I'm a big fan of BoA, I handle all my checking and savings through them and in a year or two will have my home financed through them. I also have two credit cards for a combined total of credit of 15,000 with them. They're good to you. After all, 15k credit line through them (not counting my American Express and Capital One) for a 21 year old ain't too shabby. So check into them. I mean, just call them and try to get some type of committment over the phone. However, running your credit too much is detrimental to your credit score. It'll go down if you run it too many times, so be a little more cautious with your social security number.

Let me know how this goes too, BBT. There's other options available if those don't pan out, but I think they're honestly the most viable options. It's what has worked out so nicely for me, but I also work 60+ hours a week because I'm completely "future driven" and have no life due to it.
