Banner Submissions

[Reishu]

I know Sculli has wanted a banner for QCDN, so i figured i'd get the ball rolling...

This one is looks good I think...

This one is smaller by about 5k, compared to the one above. It pays the price though, because it doesn't have nice edges.

Both images are have transparent backgrounds, so I think it would go well with any style (meaning (relatively) no changes to the boards as-is, except maybe for colors in the banner and the background of the page matching). I haven't tested this yet, so I'll do that when i can find a good HTML editor.

Thanks for your effort, much appreciated, but are you sure you posted the right images?
All I see is:

There's a semi-current logo thread posted on the Fan Works board logo contest - take 2 and also another related thread: describe FFXI in one image.

The main reason why I haven't officially announced a logo contest is because I want to wait till January 1st, people will be back after the holidays and will have some time before school starts and all.

Also, the idea of creating a custom QCDN style for vBulletin is perhaps doable. I have had a couple people expressing interest in working on that by PM.

Hmm what you quote-posted is very different from what I posted... PNG style files have an alpha background channel, which greatly helps with adaptability for styles. Your quote has them in JPG format, which doesn't have that capability.

A custom QCDN style sounds good too, perhaps I can help. I've had experience making my own WindowBlinds skins (if that helps any )

My quote is a screenshot.
Ahh ..., seems like IE has a problem rendering the alpha properly.

not sure which post to toss this one into...but here it is
