Batallia Downs Bazaar's

lol, in regards for the scorp claw for V.claw thing... It's low, yeah, but if anyone will actually pay that price without paying attention to what they buy, they DESERVE it. Just like someone, who I won't name, LOL, paying 6k each for 99 shihei lol.

you are all overlooking that it is a low lvl zone and the way must newcomer come to get to jueno. i no dont there are some idiot that mpk people but you also have to look at the fact that people do exp there and if i had a choice of either dying or zoning a mob that might kill a lvl a bazaar mule ya I think ill pick zoning

Maybe these ppl are just sick and this is excitment to them. its like stealing stop signs... who really wants a stop sign, its all about the rush of stealing...

PS: im a thief 75/mexican , kinda good at stealing shit. :) jk

How is that possible short of using the flying hack? Isn't that the giant tree out on the island?

That's Ahtu. Lumberjack is a Roc/Simurgh-esque HNM beetle by the Aged Arbor all the way in the northwest corner of the zone.

I think Rolanberry would make the better area for Bazaaring, because it has the wide open area right by the zone to Jeuno, mobs will just walk away from the bazaarers. Batallia is too tight-knit.

interestingly enuf, our server is the only one of the 5 server's i've played on that bazaar in Batalia Downs, the other 4 servers all bazaar in Rolanberry.
if you think about it, Rolanberry is the better choice not only due to the aggro possibilities associated with the other 2 zones, but if you /sea Upper Jueno compared to /sea Lower Jueno....Lower Jueno is almost always more populated. it would make sense to me to bazaar off the more populated zone.

Plus heavy traffic to/from Nest; any job or subjob goes through there.

Moadib was MPKing these for a good half hour the other night. Apparently this is the only use he can find for that adaman set.

I was bazaaring and killed off most of what he lost claim on, then talked to a GM after he went back to Jeuno for a while. No clue if they didnt anything but he was back doing it again about an hour later.

It would be easy for people like this to defend themselves now and say "hurrr i was killing scammers" but I saw scammers in verm cloaks that night with at least 4 or 5 legit level 1 bazaars that got killed by the gobs he sat around with waiting for them to bomb toss.

I've seen that too...let Gobs throw bombs that take out a number of low lvl bazaars in one shot, rinse and repeat. Probably gettin a few kicks out of it or somethin, I dunno. Pretty lame if you ask me Moad, I was there selling off some equips at the time and watched the whole ordeal. Funny how you came back a while later and said [I'm sorry] in /say...man you get bored easily or somethin? shit..

if you're getting shits and giggles out of mpking bazaars.....damn, they're sitting ducks.

go play with guivre and the gil sellers, it's a lot more entertaining.

I have absolutely NO respect for this man.
(i will make reference to the NA LS "Blood of Legends in this post, please note that this is NOT a flame of BoL in anyway)

So, Moadib is a member of BoL, which if i remember correctly is an HNM/God LS. But i guess they didnt do enough HNMs for his liking, so he starts hunting HNMs with the Gil Seller Linkshell called "Salute 2" (with out BoL knowing)
Who knows how fucking long he pulled that shit, but eventually another BoL member, Penut, joins him in Salute 2. One day after BoL finished farming God Items (i heard they cleaned out sky of EVERY god-pop-item in like 1-2 hours, thats good isnt it?), they decided to go camp Simurgh. Only to find there LS member Penut campin with the gilsellers.
So, member Penut is instantly kicked from BoL, but no one knows about Moadib's association with them, so he remains in BoL, but, because of the new wave of 'anti-gil seller' engery in BoL, he doesnt use the Gil seller pearl...BUT let me tell you what he DOES do...
Serkets window is up one day, and Salute 2 goes down to camp. Moadib, with his BoL pearl on, heads down to Serket also, but to save face, he keeps his BoL pearl on, and camps solo. However, he sends a /tell to the leader of Salute 2 saying, if he gets the claim on Serket, he wants the Salute 2 alliance to invite him.

how 2 faced can you be. i wouldnt trust this guy for shit.

(i HEARD that Notorious Hunters claimed Serket, and that Moadib fought along side them...seems like a fair-weather player, dont expect much outta him, he'll leave you in a heart beat as long as there is money involved.)

Let the buyer betware, and stfu.

These bazaars have benefitted me and several of my friends. There are no real scams in FFXI, just people who don't research and do their homework.

i agree, while it is low to use such a scam to get gil, these scams are easily avoidable, and SE altered the bazaar purchase sequence to make it more avoidable.... on top of that there are several online resources for people to find out appropriate prices and names of items.

If your not willing to watch what your doing, your going to get burned, just like how i still get burned buying 1 strystal for the price of a stack (but im more careful when im spending a big chunk of the bank).

To the Lumber Jack problem... I saw this happen a few days ago, dont know who brought it to zone, but it was tearing through AFKs lvl 1-75 without discretion, now while it does suck to lose 2400 xp because of MPK.... thats what zoning is for, if you cant handle a mob.... you zone it, and if your going to park near zone, prepare to pay the consequences. So if a ninja tries to solo LJ and cant handle it and needs to zone he should go ahead and zone, HOWEVER, if someone is doing this maliciously well then they should be castrated.... Humanely, although the rusty spoon would do more justice.

Look, don't forget that batailla downs is not a city.Which means if people get aggro or are farming and realize they are low hp but they got few gobs to deal with, they would probably zone it..... and thats not mpk since mpk is suppose to be on purpose.

Why zone there if you're getting slaughtered?
http://www.clanwind.com/ffxi/mapdata/map.asp?ID=20

If I'm not totally mistaken here, looks like it has 8 other zones, most likely closer then Jeuno...

actually theres like 10 other zones other than jeuno zone. 7 into eldieme, one in to the glacier, one into rolanberry, and one into norvallen. All but 2 of these zones are closer to lumber jack than the jeuno zone, ALOT closer. There is absolutely no reason for anybody to zone lumberjack into jueno, aside from mpking. If you're in trouble, you would take one of more than half a dozen zones that isn't on the far side of the map. Infact, lumberjack spawns at the upper left, and jeuno zone is lower right, as far from LJ spawn as you can get.

*jugner, not norvallen.

<--- does too much outpost teleporting
