Batman Begins

It was good. I won't ruin it any by saying anything more than that.

This movie is amazing.

what? it's the truth.. I hate those over powered heroes.. Superman needs like.. Gods for enemies.. or technology that's to the extreme >.> and Batman Begins was an awesome movie. Really captured the way Batman was supposed to be with the putting fear into enemies and whatnot. I hope if they make a sequal that they'll use the same actor for once >.>

Saw the movie. I always thought the first Burton film was the best treatment Batman would ever get, but this one blows Burton's vision out of the water. I wasn't expecting much since the trailers looked rather boring and the director's previous work was rather quiet and subdued, so having it be the best film I've seen in a while made me feel all giddy when I walked out of the theater. Next up for me: Land of the Dead.

What an amazing movie! They left no stone unturned. Everything from the Bat's philosophy to .. everything!

I don't think they could've made a better movie. This one will go down in the comic-fan history books! ^_^

This movie fucking owns.

Spider Man 2 can kiss Batmans ass.*

I only had two complaints.

1 - Batman's/Bruce Wayne's Voice. Neither seemed deep or menacing enough; and Batman's voice you could tell was forced (he was straining to make it sound deep and menacing, causing him to fail).

Note - I changed the text color to white in what may be considered a spoiler. It doesn't work very well, so if you don't want a spoiler (though it's a pretty obvious one to those who are fans of the series), then i suggest skipping the following paragraph.

2 - Lack of screen time for Rhas Al Gul/Ducard/Liam Neeson. Yeah, he was in there a fair ammount in the begining, but I wished he'd had more time once Bruce was fully transformed into The Dark Knight.

Still a kick ass movie, though; and Neeson was terrific. Him, Caine and Freeman were perfect for their roles, and I can't imagine anyone doing them better.

*Many people said that Spider Man 2 was the best comic book/super hero movie ever. They were wrong.

P.S. - The Tumbler owns all.

Yeah, caught this one yesterday with Neyla and freakin' loved it. The best Batman movie made, as far as I'm concerned.

I agree.

This movie is great step in the right direction for the "grittier" side of comic book movies.

I really felt they managed to catch the Dark Knight persona with this one.
The anger in interrogating, the emphasis on striking fear into his prey,
and the sneaky detective work with monitoring devices on fire escapes all
reminded of the Detective Comics of old.
Batman was never intended to be a Super Hero, he was a detective who had the luxury of working outside the law, but yet still walked the path straight and narrow.

Even Gary Oldman as James Gordon was spot on, I literally saw the Gordon of old, sitting in his office late at night, pouring over papers only to be not so startled by a visit from his vigilante friend (that scene was a great /nod to many a comic frame from long ago)and I loved the obvious sequel hint at the end. *no spoiler*
I was however a little baffled by Ras Al' Ghul's character portrayal in this film, anyone well read in the Batman mythos knows what I mean.

Someone mentioned earlier that they believed the end to build up to the first Tim Burton film, watch the first Burton film again, and I think you may change your mind on that.

God I hope they move forward with this as a movie series.

I agree, Asia. And I hope they do it fast XD before the characters get old >.> I hate when they change actors for the same role.

Saw this movie last night and it was ok. im not a fan or batman or anything, so I guess thats why it was a meh in my book. Action was cool, but the part that tottaly ruined it for me was batmans voice. omg, IMO, it sucked, sounded like he was tottaly faking it. Worst/funniest part was when the girl asks him who he is and he says that lame line: "Its not what I look like, its what I do" or something like that. Lol me and my friends starting craking up^^ It was so lame^^ Like I said before I dont like batman or any other superhero so I didnt see what the big deal was about this movie. It wasnt that good as a whole. but im sure batman fans will like it. Batmans voice sucks XD

He repeated that "lame" line because it's something she said to him earlier in the film, to let her know she already knew his name even though she'd asked.

I think its hard not to try to change your voice to make it sound menacing without making it sound "lame". I mean first off hes an actor, not a voice actor like say the man who did Bruce Wayne/Batman's voice in the Bat-Man cartoons from FOX. Or you could try to see it from the characters aspect. That this is his first time trying to sound menacing, so this is the voice he came up with.

After seeing it, I didnt mind his voice as much as I thought I would from seeing the trailers. I mean I think it could have been way worse then it was.

And I like how they did Ras' al Ghul and his past and history. I dont want to say more so as not to spoil it for others, but i will say that they didnt leave it totally closed off to the possibility that he had/had not used "the pit". Hope that doesnt spoil it for anyone.

Only one problem I had in the movie which I was ranting about on the car ride home afterwards...

This is a spoiler so I'll white it out...

If the water supply poison thingy was only active in steam form... then how come people wouldn't go insane whenever they boiled water for those weeks since they've been dumping the supply into the water pipes?

SPOLIER !!!!!!! WARNING.

I dont think it had to be in steam form, because technically steam is still water, the microwave emitter vaporized all the water, therefore leaving the toxin back in its powder form.

MORE SPOILER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Arent humans like 80%+ water? Thats why our microwaves have that little metal barracade where the window is, so the nuker dont nuke us! Lots of metals block out microwave waves, so that little part of the movie is a bit flawed, but hey, they did one hell of a job!

I loved this movie <3 what a great Father's Day flick!

*I am interested in seeing who they choose as the Joker - Nicholson's shoes are sort of hard to fill....

My guess would be that it takes more than a little bit to work. But it's a movie, debates of this sort are futile.
