I reinstalled Battlefield 2 (friend wants to play, had to reinstall cause stupid F drive crashing and it had all my games

anyways, when I try to get into a game, the keyboard and mouse don't work. Well, I can alt tab and ctrl alt delete to turn off the game, but that's it :| I can't select anything in the game. Any idea what the cause might be? My computer specs more than meet the requirements so yar.. anyone know what the cause might be?
