BCNM 40 - Under Observation- Questions

I've been wanting to do this with a couple of my friends. I've read a couple write ups on it, but nothing great. We have a couple combinations we can use.

Jobs available

Me- Mnk, RDM, WAR
Jobe- BLM, SMN, DRK
Sqwert- RDM, BLM, NIN. THF


Out of those jobs, which do you think would make the best setup? I was thinking maybe 2 BLM and 1 RDM, or 2 RDM and 1BLM? Also can this be done with MNK? I want a shot at the PCC (even though it's a rare drop lol). And if some of you can post your success or failures at this, I would greatly appreciate it.
 
can probably do blm/blm/rdm and either try to nuke em down or have the rdm kite the main eye until the other 2 blms kill the 2 smaller eyes.

my drop rate is about 2/30 ish. =)

Sorry I don't know any strats with that setup. It's very easy with NIN/NIN/RDM or NIN/NIN/BST. I've also heard it can be done with 3 BLMs. Monk wouldn't really work because you can't face the mobs. GL on it.^^

That might work. Could be a bit dangerous though lol.
 
I've only done it with 3 nin or 2 nin and rdm, ninjas take either /blm /whm or /war. I'm like 1/20-30 idk anymore. and you really can't melee the eyes since you're gonna get para'd every 30 seconds. ninjas backwards tank and does the ele wheel at em.
 
Langly and I used to duo these for people in NoizyTribe. We’ve done it with NIN/RDM/ANYJOB and usually win.

What we did with any other job that couldn’t kite the third eye, we had the RDM (me) kite two at the same time. If you stagger them, using bind and gravity, it’s not that big of a deal. The RDM has to not panic when he gets petrified or bound himself, because it will happen. Be sure to full buff and train them all the way down to the beginning of the BC. When the NIN (Langly) and whoever else we were taking finished with the first little eye, they went on to the second. By the time they finished I was usually heading up with the big eye and we all three trio’d him until he died.

I believe we did it with DRG (great for their piercing ability), BLM, WHM (a hard combination but doable), WAR, SMN (they can train the other little eye making it a bit easier)… and maybe a COR, I can’t remember.

Either way, if you have a NIN/BLM, RDM/NIN, and whatever, it can be done.
 
I know the Sobbering Eye can't be slept, thats why he's kited. I take it the two compound eyes can't be slept either?



Damn I knew I should have gotten my BLU to level 40. I know a BLU can easily solo the Compound eyes.

I always go Nin/Rdm, still one Magic attack bonus, fastcast, and the occasional cure if you happen to mess up, lag whatever.
 
ive always done it with a nin and bst, and the 3rd job can be whatever. i went as mnk, when the nin had the little eye down to about half health i would jump in and start hittin it. we never had a loss doing it that way.
 
Try the blm/blm/rdm combo i would say
 
Taking more than 2 people into Under Observation is a massive mistake. It's an easy duo and you get enough trash drops split 2 ways, let alone 3.
 
The way we always play this is NIN + RDM + any other DD job we acutally did it with NIN RDM DRK not to long ago. I also have a SMN friend who has told me SMN is capable of kitting however I have never seen it or tired it myself. But based on the info you have this is what I would try.

RDM NIN and DRK

RDM goes in buffs everyone with Pro/She and buffs themselves fully. Rest to pretty full MP without taking to much time. I usually go RDM/BLM for ES Gravity on the big eye. Then the NIN and DRK will kill one small eye (doesnt matter which) while the RDM kits the large and small eye using Gravity and Bind. NIN and DRK should kill both small eyes then the large eye. Its alot a good idea to take drinks (Yagudo for RDM Panama Milk stuff for NIN and DRK is kinda weird cause they can Drain and Aspir but might want drinks for back up)

Good idea Aal, I may try this. I usually go Nin/Blm and that way I can bio a couple of times and ES Drain once for a decent amount.

Yeah if you do this just be sure to bring reraise in case you need to get up and try one more ga...I'm not sure how fast they regen if you wipe though. I know that three Stonega II's won't always kill them, and w/e RDM will have won't be that strong even. Make sure you die outside of agro range if you do die. >.> I'm not sure if you'd go with the ga strat anyway but just my suggestions if you do. :)
