BCNM's -> Quake Scroll

Hope this is the right section, was just curious if anyone could recommend one of the lvl 50 BCNMs that drop Quake, and if they could suggest the party set up. The blm in my static needs this and unfortunately getting the gil to help him isn't quite easy with not having a lvl 75 job.

I've been looking up some BCNMs that drop the scroll, and so far the one called "Eye of the Tiger" sounds like the best option for the friends I currently have that could help with the BCNM (whm, blm, pld, war are among the choices I have to choose from)

Was just curious if anyone has beaten this bcnm, or if they have another recommendation and could list the party set up.

I'm no expert, but I know my BLM friend was trying to get this scroll awhile ago and he just camped the NM that drops the Shaman Cloak, since he also drops Quake and Stonega II. He got the Cloak the first time, but the person helping him took the Quake scroll. He helped others camp it a few times and got Stonega II and Quake in that way.

Do you know which NM drops the scroll? I had read on one site and I think all the NMs were lvl 60+ mobs which unfortunately me and my group of friends can't take at this point, as we don't have a job past lvl 52.

And though if the NM is something we could camp, we're trying to find a quick way to get this without having to pay the 630k the scroll is currently going for, as my blm friend is lvl 52 and I believe he can learn the spell at lvl 54 >_<

The NM is Centurio X-I lvl 62-64 in Quicksands Cave. Might be a bit tough for the group to handle.

If you have a static that has a lot of dmg, you can try the BCNM "3, 2, 1..." You fight a bomb that gives you 60 seconds to do 9999 dmg. He doesn't fight back but doing the dmg can be hard at lvl 50 D:

"Treasure and Tribulations" would probably be your best bet. You see 3 chests, you have to open 1. If you get lucky you won't have to fight at all and just get the rewards from the correct chest. If you pick the wrong one you have to a mimic, but it isn't too hard.

Yes like other people have said the Shaman Cloak mob is great to get the Quake scroll from. Also Orcish Warlords blm types also drop them in monastic cavern (G3 area w)

But as a blm I Don't think that Quake is necessary spell for a blm. I never got it and got to 75 fine, most AMs are a waste of money and will never use any of them past freeze and burst mostly(Flare and Flood maybe for maat). Anyway just my 2 cents ^^

Thanks for the info guys, but i'm really interested in this mimic bcnm. I'm curious, if you do happen to have to fight the mimic, what is the best party set up? Or rather has anyone fought this and have any tips info they could provide?

Also, if you do have to fight the mimic and you win, you still get the rewards right?

If you did fight the mimic and beat it, the 2 chests you didn't pick would reappear, and you'd have to pick from them. If you manage to choose wrong again, you have to fight that one, and then the last one will appear and you'll get the treasure from that.

I hear the drop rate on the chest one is really low..... like most of the times you get crap from it.Is that true?

Better yet just tell him to forget about it because its a waste. I've use quake a total of 5 times on the way to 75 and all 5 were for show. You don't "need" this spell at all, and I can honestly say I wish I never wasted my gil. But thats just my personal opinion, sorry I don't know anything about the BCNM, but could tell you you would prob be better off farming as a group and buying it. How much is it now anyway? IT used to be like 400K a while back but these days who knows...
