Beautiful Katamari

I put a thread for this in the lounge before XD (since it wasn't limited to any system, I remember reading that it was for Wii, PS3, and 360 at least)

Anyways, that's interesting reading that article. If it is true, oh well, I'd argue it's not a good game anyways :P all you do is act like a fucking chihuahua and roll a ball around XD but if you like it, so be it.

Now, because it's said as an X-Box 360 exclusive, if there's a news article that says it's coming to Wii or PS3, can I go "HAH! TAKE THAT X-BOX 360 FANBOYS!" :D turn abouts fair play right? :P *poofs away*

Well considering Namco has following this yet again announced it's multiplatform: http://www.gamespot.com/ps3/action/beautifulkatamari/news.html?sid=6169409

I don't really take anything from a rumor started by someone not involved at all in the game with no sources at all.

Seriously though there are better multiplatforms to try and get exclusive deals on. I realize the "casual market" is the craze now but obviously they aren't buying the HD consoles til they price drop anyway.

i hate people who do the "hah take that" crap from any platform, fanboys are retarded.

I agree completely :P but you have to admit that this time around, 360 fanboys are shouting that all over the place XD

its true, the 360 vs ps3 fanboyism is the worst i have EVER seen. Its old, its annoying. Times are changing, the days of exclusives are closing, its smart and good for everyone all the way around, dont see the big deal.

Ya, maybe one day they'll realize how retarded it is :P anyways, if you really love the game and the company, in all honesty, you SHOULDN'T want it exclusive so they can make more money, keep making great games, and not be bought out by EA who will turn it into a crappy department (oh Westwood, I miss you T.T) or go bankrupt.

Face it, not exclusive means more money which means more games from them which means more fun :3

you know i wouldnt mind if halo 3 went mulit platform, more people to play against ya know. i wouldnt bitch at all.

I can understand that :P but, what are ya gonna do, people always bitch about something x.x (myself included)

Wonder why anyone would go 360 exclusive after being announced as multiplatform.. It's not at all like going multiplatfrom after being deemed exclusive.

If it's true, only reason I could come up with is online content. Either Sony disagreed with some aspect, or requested something outrageous. Like asking too much for a fee.

Multiplatform adds 10% development cost, so it's always worth it to make a multiplatform unless the other system cannot run the game to a point that you'd have to change both versions significantly to have it run. Games Dead Rising aren't ported because Microsoft paid them under the table not to.

heh, Sony seems to ask ridiculous things that are a bit.. insane XD like I think before the PSOne when Nintendo asked Sony (and another company, I forget who) to make a disc player for their next system, I think Sony wanted the ability to use any of Nintendo's characters and whatnot without any issues or something. I forget what it was, but it seemed kinda steep to me for that. But, I guess it didn't matter anyways cause Nintendo chose the other company (which I guess kinda screwed them for a few years cause after that Sony was like "we have a system pretty much made... let's just finish and sell it" :P)

At least, that's what I was told. That there was a chance years ago of a Nintendo/Sony partnership kinda thing that coulda happened but didn't cause Nintendo chose to go with the other company (sticking with cartridges or something) and didn't like what Sony was asking for in return on their part of the deal.

I'm almost positive what happened was that Nintendo contacted Sony to make a CD add-on for the SNES (called the Play Station, incidentally). Things were going well, except Sony wanted a royalty from every unit sold since they made it, and Nintendo didn't want to pay them, so they cut off the deal with Sony and turned to Philips instead. End result: Sony turns what they had into the PlayStation and Philips made a series of god-awful shitty Zelda games that no one bought.

haha, that's pretty funny :P either way, Sony asked for more than they should have, iirc (cause I remember there were rights to using all the characters and money from sales and whatnot). But whatever
