Ok, I want to get FF11 for my PC, and I downloaded the benchmark. Problem is, when I go to run it I get an error (2001) and the message only says Hardware TnL and then jibberish. Anyone know whats up with that?

You are probably right, but I didnt think my graphics card was so bad that it wouldnt run FF11 at all... I just bought the thing last year...

What kind of vid card are you running? that error usually means your card cant handle it.

i play FFXI with the intergrated graphics card >< i bougt a ati raddeon thing about 4 months ago, wennt to best buy to install it. After i turned on my comp played the game and the graphics were the same!><><><><
i dont understand why it didnt work, i called bestbuy and said it was working. *liars* is there away to unistall FFXIO and install it back on withoutlosing ur memory and ur character?

Did you change the settings in FFXI config tool. The card won't change anything till you adjust the settings in the config, such as resolution and etc.

eh. well....you may or may Not see a marked improvement in the display with a vidcard upgrade. the new card is mainly for new visual effects that the chip may not have handled, but more importantly, it takes some of the load off the processor as cards are dedicated to video rendering.
so you should be noticing less lag and faster screen loads, but prolly not better image, alot of that has to do with your monitor and Not the card.
somthing to check though is to see if they bothered to Disable the onboard chip.
Control Panel ->System->Device Manager->Display Adapters.
thattl show you what is currently running the video on your comp.
if its not the card you bought, they didnt disable the chip, and you can do that (hopefully) from the system BIOS on boot.
