Even ignoring the whole "I want to be a jackass "concept here wouldn't the person CCing you getting the drop mean you have an easier time when you actually are capable of killing said NM? Logically every person that gets the knife is 1 less person to CC you the next day.

In this case, it was a really asshole move, since your CC didn't get a chance at the knife this window, and won't be there next window.

That's a dick move. Acknowledging that it is doesn't make it acceptable, and the people here shouldn't accept it as such just because of the attitude and because of who said it.

Not really. However CFH because you can't kill any NM is kind of crappy.

Let someone else that's capable kill it, get the TOD and like you said: Camp it again.

OP and his friend didn't exactly have the manpower to kill him either. From what the OP told us it was him and his friend. Does that seem like enough people to kill the thing?

Kharma's a bitch, and it goes full circle. You may think you are just an asshole in a video game, but yes, it does reflect how you probably are in any situation, including outside the "video game" world. Because of this I pity you. You may have friends, and I'm glad you do, because birds of a feather flock together, and if I know all the assholes are hanging around one another, it makes my job easier to stay away.

if the NM despawns it counts as it dying. Which is why I said, it was calculated: CC doesn't get a shot at item, CC won't be at next camp, and you will.
 
This entire type of conflict could be avoided if SE was smart enough to disable CFH on NMs.

It's like they seriously think people are saying "o shit, fuck drops i dont wanna lose xp! SOME1 HALP MEZ!!" CFH is just an annoying, destructive tool.

It has nothing to do with the internet bud. You could just as well be the group of assholes in the bar that is pissing everyone off. I still wouldn't want anything to do with you.

If you go about it the right way, it is duoable with a 75NIN or THF and a healer. I'm not saying that we're badass and could have taken it since I've never fought the NM before, but I betcha we could have with the 25% health it had left when he CFH.

Lol I have to agree with ya, it's adorable. What did they do, put a kitten up on a table and tape it crying b/c it wants to get down?

Anyway, he's still an ass.
 
Well, considering I was in their party today to try and help I'm pretty disappointed in the actions of some members. I have had to camp this NM before and I know that it can be a bitch. It despawns, skips windows and has some rough TP moves.

From claim our party had it rough with the fact that we were fighting another mob at the time and grabbed a couple more from training as we brought it in. I couldn't land a lullaby on it and the tank died. We wiped (except Bender) due to our own accord and that's all there was to it. Another group had fair opportunity to grab it for themselves and get what dropped. Unfortunately they had rough luck as well and after getting it down pretty far wiped. This was the point at which Bender grabbed hate and proceeded to try to tank it to no avail. This is the part where I got pretty annoyed. Well, moreso than I already was after being there for over 3 hours and losing the NM in the first place...

I'm really disheartened to know that CFH was the route you took and in fact embarrassed to be a part of that party. It's sad that you all act like you don't care and retort to every comment like assholes. You wanted that drop and you couldn't have it. You don't even realize that if you let that person possibly get the drop, they would be another person you wouldn't have to compete with to get it. 9-12 hours is a lot of time to wait around not to mention the 3 hour window itself that you actually have to pay attention. It's not a placeholder NM, it can spawn whenever so you have to be ready for it at all times. It's pretty shitty that you had to be so selfish and waste everyone else's time like that. Next time you want a drop, I hope karma bites you all back in the ass. And don't expect my help or any other's in NT ever again if you're going to act like this.
