besieged

You've just got to learn to keep your distance, especially so low. Stoneskin is the friend of every mage, in Besieged.

I'm sorry to hear you didn't get anything ... you do suffer some penalty for excessive death, but I'm not sure how much. Next time, just try to stay out of range of any engaged mob you see, and continually scan the health of those that surround you. You'll want to be healing at least one person roughly every ten seconds or so. That'll guarantee you a full reward, no problem.

As you get higher in level, or when you use elemental seal, you can start debuffing and dispelling. It's a really fun, easy activity for a mage, actually. ^^

Speaking of besieges, every time I was going to participate in one it seemed the Trolls were going to attack. Every time for the last 3-4 times.
But then again..the times I logged on were pretty much different so ^^;

But the last besieged I went to had all 3 in one-shot lol.
Undead, then the Trolls, then the Mamools. By the time we were done with the Trolls, we were exhausted XD

I hope that sorta broke my streak with the Trolls.

Stoneskin isn't really gonna help a mage that much. If a Blm mage gets agro, he's better than me (which isn't saying much, but still).

I spend most of my MP at the start, I run up to where they are comin in and cast a ga spell on the biggest group I can find (with reraise up). I've seen it do anywhere from 500-3000 damage total. It dpends on what you cast and what you are casting it on. Still, the only ones that come after me are the ones that aren't being attacked by anyone else, which never happens.

Now the AoE spells they use... I saw em do 4000 damage even to a group of pets. All my other filters are turned on, so I don't know how much it did to players, but stoneskin ain't help that at all.

After I use about 1000 mp, I rest then go find random dead people and raise them. If I see a dead person on my way to find a safe resting spot, I'll usually bust manafont and raise them if they look like they might be useful or if they are in my party.

I haven't done besieged much. Maybe 5 times. My comp can't handle it. I don't think I have done it at all since they started allowing only a certain number of people inside. I didn't get ToAU until about 2 weeks after the removed the HP from Al Zhabi.

Blms don't have much use offensively in Besieged. Even tier IV nukes do embarrassing damage most of the time. I guess it's to keep beseiged from becoming another manaburned event. Anyhow, I get my full 700/700 by casting cure III on anyone with any damage. Nukes are horribly mp inefficient in beseiged since all the mobs have 99% magic resistance. Cures bring in the full points, and raising seems to be a huge boon to your point total. I estimate you can get your full 700 isp and exp halfway through, as today I died halfway through and reraised, and still got 700 and 700 at the end. Once I think I've gotten full points I treat beseiged like a risk free skillup pt and whack on mobs for an occasional .3 staff. Occasionally someone will try and shout orders like mages keep away and such, but it's easy enough to blame lag for not seeing it. Blame lag for everything, and do what you like, I say.

Actually, try this. Spam Tier 1 spells, lol. I've done it and gotten 600+ pts (dont't think I've ever actually gotten full 700). Also it appears you get a penality on pts if you die, I noticed this when I did 3 besieged in a row.
