Sorry if this has been posted before, but does anyone know how to tell when besieged is going to be held?
 
1) Type /bmap
2) Check to see if someone is doing something other than "Training"
3) ???
4) Profit!

You didn't bother looking at all, I think.

This was explained in detail, in a thread that's just a few spots below this one ... the title of the thread, in fact, is "Besieged." It's still on the front page, and literally bears the same EXACT name that you've given your own thread:

Kind of off topic:

But, has anyone else noticed mobs in Besieged how they have extreme Magic Def. Bonus? Im wearing AF2 BLM Hat (elemental magic+10) + ES, i shot off a ThunderIV, and im landing about 212 each time. Whats with that O.o

No, black magic is nerfed to hell and back in Besieged. You are quite literally better off putting on a Light Staff and spamming Cure III.

I'd assume it was to prevent Besieged from being manaburned like the rest of SE's harder content.
 
For real, though ... just about the only role any mage whatsoever plays in Besieged lies in defensive magic. Red mages have the added benefit of being able to dispel, and you (as a black mage) will be able to land a debuff once every ten minutes with Elemental Seal.

Other than that, however ... I'd just forget nuking.

I don't even know, to be honest, but my brother insists that his Economics teacher told the same joke to him while he was still in middle school, as a cautionary against making vague investments. Granted, that's the only other place I've ever heard it, so I suppose we could both be mistaken.

It was certainly the first place I heard it, too, and I can't really find anything other than references to the South Park version of the joke.

Wikipedia certainly credits them with the joke, saying it was a satire of 90s-era dot-com businesses. Of course, anyone can write anything on Wikipedia, so that's not exactly confirmation.

Yea some other weird things are like, how I'm never able to hit for more than 0 ( thats not the weird part) and my critical does like 30, but when I do SA which should be a critical since thief is subbed my critical does 100+. And somehow souleater still pwns and does like 150+ a hit.
