GinTama is good but it seems to take out the in-joke references with the VIZ translations. Probably best to read the scanlations and watch the fansubs imo.

Yeah, I find the fansubs to be much, much better. The show is only amazin' if the jokes are left untouched, mayo mayo!
 
I can't quite remember where in the thread I saw Gintama for the first time, but thanks, I'm addicted now.

The show is hilarious with the jokes intact on the subbed version, I'm somewhat afraid to see what the dubbed version is like.

No dub just yet. Its the manga that was horribly butchered.
 
yeah i started reading the manga last night i'm on chapter 9, it's ok but i don't feel that energy that I felt from the videos here

That's a relief, I'm not going to worry about accidentally finding a dubbed episode then.

Edit: I'm gonna have to dig out a couple DVDs to see what I can contribute to this thread.

There's just so many damn Gundam things I wouldnt know where to start but this does look interesting even though I have no idea who it is.

I like how all the scenes that had kid Gohan replaced him with Goten and Trunks. I think the last scene would've been more awesome if all the Saiyans went Super, instead of just Goku.

Haha, I just noticed during the run on Shenron's back, when Yajirobi runs, he's followed by Korin, Kibitoshin, and Old Kai. Also lol at putting Bulma, Chichi, and Videl in the dinosaur chase scene. Didn't notice any Mr. Satan appearances :(

As much as people mock it, Dragon Ball is pretty timeless.

Edit: I just watched it, and I have to say I'm pleased. Didn't run too long, and no unnecessary pauses for constipation power ups. Theres only one constipation scene in the entire run, which was pretty short(10-15 sec) and it was to prove a point to Vejita's brother that scouters can be tricked.

Pretty much every character that fights in DBZ does something as well, except for Tien. Him and Chiaotzu aren't in it sadly.

Also, Turtle has a line. Fuck yeah.

I feel like a lot of anime is pretty damn stupid after you grow out of your teens, but a few shows are pretty damn great in their own right.

I'd say the last scene, in the last episode of Cowboy Bebop is pretty much amazing.

Also the climax of the Kenshin OVA: Trust and Betrayal, in the last section, pretty damn amazing. That OVA has a few really good scenes. I also like the montage in the first episode where you see him getting his first kills.
