Best CP item?

Hi. I'm currently 70 RDM with about 90,000 conquest points saved up (Bastok) but only rank 7 atm. Just wondering peoples' opinions on the best stuff available from cp and is there any one or two items I should be looking towards getting now or when I level/rank up. Thanks in advance.
 
As a red mage, I'd expect the master's caster's mitts(windy) to be high up there. As a mage period, Republican Gold medal is about as good as it gets.

M.C. Bracelets are the +Elemental/Enfeebling ones, just a correction.

None of the other CP items you can get (most of the good ones are unfortunately only accessable if they're from the same nation as you) are terribly good except Praefectus' Gloves, which are only good if you plan on XPing NIN in the future.
 
Get both Praefs and Gold Medal. Your points won't transfer when you change nations anyways, and you'll find uses for each of em anyways.
 
For Bastok, Rep Gold Medal, Praef gloves, and (for rangers) Gold Musk. Bolt

Just remember, you can spend points on other nation's items, provided your nation is a higher rank than the one you intend on buying it from, and the item is less than a first place item. ie., Bastok in first place with Sandy in second, you could by the Grand Temple Knight's Gauntlets, but at an inflated CP cost.
 
without doubts Master caster mitts for BLM and RDM ( it works in all non tau if you have signet, even dynamis, sky and sea), and Master caster bracelets
( i use on thf, eva skill +10).

Those are rank 8 items, that you can get from windy guards when your nation ( Bastok lol) is first and windy is second.
 
Only item from Bastok you'd need for your RDM is the Republican Gold Medal.
+50MP outside nation.

Is that the rank 8 gloves with parry +10?

All of the EXC rank 8 gears cannot be purchased unless you belong to that nation. So if you want the Sandy parry+10 gloves, or Master Caster Bracelets, you have to rank up to 8 in Sandy and Windy respectively. Even if Bastok is in first, you won't be able to buy those for any CP cost.

I tried to buy Sandy's gloves many moons ago and learned this the hard way.

NO complete lies.
I NEVER did sandy or bastok mission, only did windy , and have a prf gloves. read up!

If you want those gloves, either

1 be rank 8 sandy


2 be rank 8 ( mayber more) in your nation, wait that YOUR nation is first and/or ITEM's nation second. (some rank 8 items are available only if that nation is 2nd or 1st)

example:

a windurst rank 10 citizen can buy Prf gloves when conquest ranking is windy at first position

a windurst citizen rank 10 will never be able to buy Republican Gold Medal.

a windurst citizen rank 10 will be able to buy Presidential Hairpin only when conquest ranking is 1-windy 2-bastok.

I dunno how you did it but I was not able to buy the Sandy gloves when Bastok was in 1st. Didn't show up on my list at all when I talked to the Sandy RK's at the gates... you go to a different npc or same one?

according to this link you can buy those gloves from sandy guards when your nation is first and it doesnt matter if sandy is second or not. It might be needed to be rank10.

Was Sandy in 2nd? Think that may have mattered too.

That I can't remember. I know I wasn't rank 10. It is possible Sandy's placement was my error.
 
yea i wanted to purchase this one at some point. but it only show up when bastok is first and im windy onry ><
