I'm not sure for Elite Level Food Dragoon, but hey, thanks!

Rolanberry pie has its uses at the lower lvls I guess for whms. Mid to upper whms (and smns) need +mpH foods. Roast mushrooms with +2mph, +mp, +mnd are good for those on a cheap diet. Those with cash to burn though should go for the more expensive +mph items (lots available).

65+ brd will likely use panamas after getting the crown. Before that, food doesn't do much for brd.

I'm not in agreement, in general. There are a lot of situational uses of various foods as well.

It's not as simple as low, medium and high.

A certain job might not be all about just STR and DEX.

Suggestions? I need to leave work now, but I am SURE others will advise.
I'm not trying to put you on the spot because things like this are always a great idea, but based on your sig, how would you know? Not trying to flame...Just an honest question.

Best use of space brings in a different argument altogether, but I'd hope that someone going for the best food really isn't too concerned with how much space it takes up.

Thieves should eat miths and chiefs until level 55 or so. No reason to eat accuracy food that low, and you'll be fighting crabs almost 3/4 of the time. If they're decked out in s-harness, snipers, pcc or spectacles...if they have 40+ acc on, there's no reason to eat sushi and equip that much acc. IF a thief eats sushi, which 95% have to because they don't have 40 million to drop on a simple melee set, then they don't need more than 20 acc on their equipment set.

Low level thieves should eat meat.
Mid level thieves should either eat meat and equip acc if they're rich, or eat sushi and equip attack/str if they're not rich.
High level thieves should equip acc and eat attack food once things start checking VT.

Above all you eat what your skillchain partner is eating.

Melee's who eat sushi make me cry. My MNK is nearly 60 and I've used sushi a grand total of 2 times now, both times being when the PT leader was to damn stupid to listen about what to exp on.

Fact of the matter is sushi lowers damage output a lot. Don't give me the crap about I have higher ACC so it adds up BS. The loss of the ATT%+ is a huge downside to sushi. Either you are properly equipped and have enough ACC to hit low IT/high VT mobs (which are the best for exp chaining) or you gimp your way along by using sushi. Unless you have a BRD you should not go looking for IT++++ mobs. If I have a Scorpion Harness, Snipers, eatting hedgehog pie (ACC+5 and ATT%+) and the mobs are conning normal/high evasion shouldn't that tell you something?

People managed to find a way to exp without sushi before it was put into the game. Making sushi was one of the absolute biggest mistakes SE ever made.

Well like i said, i try my best... but i dont agree with how thfs should eat sushis at 55... thfs should eat them lower levels too.... but this is for whats most popular, and effiecent, and the best. Between those 3.

Few monks should eat sushi in few circumstances. Not all meleers are monks.

I disagree completely. Unless you're leveling by going after T-VT's, sushi is the way to go. It's not "gimping" your job to eat the food that best lets you do damage, and accuracy is very important. It doesn't matter if you can do 200 damage a fist, if you cant' hit the mob you might as well only do 2 damage per fist.

I used a hedgehog pie during one party and I noticed a sizeable drop in my damage output, because I couldn't hit. At the time, I had a scorpion harness, dual snipers, vishnu cetsi and I even put on my life belt to try to make up for the accuracy loss, and I still couldn't hit the monster as often as I'd like. My accuracy was normally 85% or higher with sushi and was around 50% without sushi, that's a huge damage difference that some +attack is not going to make up. With sushi, every mob cons low evasion, you can't tell me you would do more damage to the same mob when it cons high evasion to you.

When you're fighting T-VT's and just chaining the crap out of them, then +attack food is fine, but for IT's the extra accuracy makes a huge difference.

Also to the OP, why would a monk use squid sushi at higher levels? It'd be sole sushi or then they'd use the +attack foods. AGI isn't that important unless you're doing SATA or you need to evade a bit more, the +STR from the suishi would be a bigger benefit.

Edit: also to the OP, I disagree with your whm foods listed. I don't care about mnd at all, it's all about mp, or hmp, depending on the setup. If you have a traditional party with a fixed camp, mp is good, if you have a roaming party, then hmp is much better. I usually only use Marron Glace, Ginger cookies(free with my hat), chocomilk or Mushroom stew if I feel like splurging a little. Mushroom stew, Marron Glace or Chocomilk doesn't stack, but they're also 3 hour foods, so unless you die you only need one of them for most parties, or 2 if it's a long party. There's no stackable food that compares to them, so they're generally the preferred food stuffs.

No offense, but based on your sig, you have no indication of what the later levels are like, but you're ascribing the "best" food for jobs those levels. Some of what you have listed seems just thrown together without any research done at all.

Yeah, I gotta disagree with using Tuna Sushi for Low Level BST.

In my lower levels I used Meat Mithkabobs and Dhalmel Steaks.

I currently use Tuna Sushi and would recommend it for any BST at 55 or higher, but not before.

Also, Flint Caviar gives a good CHR/DEX boost at a lower cost.

For BRD I try to use Rolanberry Pies for the 50MP Boost. With my BRD only at 37, the extra MP really helps for /whm.

I have to disagree. I have more success with acc food and an attack equip set (or /war sub) than vice versa.

Except with sushi my dmg per fist drops so low it's not tolerable. Like I said if you need sushi to hit the mob with higher than 70% ACC you are fighting the wrong mobs.

Hmmm...

Never tried any other food then sole/squid sushi on my thf after
say lv45isch... (very seldom squid though, who needs agi :P)
I get really cranky if I miss, and even with a base +acc on 30 I
tend to miss more often then I like. With the sushi I rarely miss
at all.

As Bajaratt say's accuracy > all when fighting it's.

Wierd...
I've been static with a mnk since lv50 up to 70 and he's been using
sole sushi all the time. Perhaps you're low on str/atk or something,
cuz he's destructive.

What is below tolerable? I'm hitting for around 35 per fist(I'm a mithra, btw) without berserk, and add another 10-15 to that with berserk on, that's far more than tolerable, that's good. I still pull hate more often than every other job in exp, so I'm obviously cranking out the damage. The only difference is that I can actually hit IT's, even if it's for a little less per fist.

The only way you're having such a great accuracy rate is if you're fighting low VT-T mobs. I'm not fighting the wrong mobs, I'm fighting the mobs that everyone fought before sushi was even introduced.

I do too. But it makes little sense in most pt situations to both equip accuracy out the rear and eat sushi. Even as a thief where DoT matters the least, you're still only hurting yourself to both eat sushi AND equip over 35 acc.

I'm gonna agree, those things are freaking expensive too. Not worth it for low levels, they should be using their pets more.

edit-I suck at quoting

Nope. All sorts of STR and ATT+. Only pieces of equip I'm missing that I want are Voyager Sallet and a PCC.

just wondering why you put Squid sushi for elite level, 75 mnk if they are doing KRT pts then they should use str/atk food hedgehog pies are probably the best

I've not fought T/VT mobs on my MNK yet so that isn't it. What I'm talking about is people saying let's go to Kuftal at 50, Terrigan at 54 and Valley of Sorrows at 57. Which is just mind boggling. Spend 3 minutes killing a mob to get 200 exp and maybe make it up to chain 3 or spend 1 min killing a mob getting 100 exp and hitting chain 5 every time. I'm no rocket scientist but I'll take option number 2.

So far my base dmg per fist is in the area of 50 or so (not counting zerk) if we are exp'ing on high VT/low IT mobs. With zerk on I have hit upwards of 70+ a fist.

If sushi increases your ACC% so much against a mob *after* you've got all kinds of ACC+ gear on you really should be fighting something just a little bit easier.
