I don't know if this thread has already been made, but i will go ahead anyways. I made this thread to find out who are the best players at their job/jobs. As many different people will comment on many different players i want to see if there is one person who stands above the others in that job. So post the best player you have seen at his/her job or heard of.




Example: I have been told that Rooi is the best paladin in this server
he has kaiser gear excalibur and aegis and shadow mantle and etc

I just think it would be cool to find out some of the best players at their jobs on this server, and that i think the best players should get their name shown to everyone. :thumbsup:

Sadly, this will likely boil down to a e-peen contest, with people nominating themselves(or their friends because they're friends) or only looking at someone's gear(like your rooi example) and not if they're any good or not. Best is also completely subjective; I might like someone that you saw on an off day and they weren't playing their best and anyways it's just an opinion.

It's a nice idea, it's just that when this kind of thing starts it almost invariably turns into some kind of e-peen contest; especially when you're looking at someone's gear when you're calling someone the best.

There are very few who will get the same level of gear that Rooi has(just as an example), so then there'd be no point in nominating another paladin since he's got the best non-ToAU gear possible; even if there is another paladin who is just as skilled or maybe even more skilled at the job. That's how it'd turn into an e-peen contest, people just bragging about the gear someone(probably themselves) have gotten and that makes them "better" than everyone else in their jobs. While it's true that people who play their job well get the best gear they can, but it's not really a fair comparison given how rare/difficult it can be to get that gear.

The list would also be rather large of people who are skilled at their jobs so none would really be the "best," and there's bound to be some people who flat-out suck at their jobs who would be nominated by their friends. That'd lead to arguments and even more e-peening. It'd be great if people's ego's wouldn't become involved, but that's almost assured to happen.
