Beta Begins! Feb 25th 2013

So who is planning on just keeping their legacy characters on a legacy server and who is starting fresh? Me, I'll be starting fresh. I didn't get much accomplished in 1.0 anyway and besides, I'd rather experience the game from level 1 onward and experience new sights as I progress through the game.

What about you guys? (and gals?)

I wish some of the folks I played 1.0 would come back to this forum. I don't really have any way of contacting them and seeing what they are up to. ._.;
 
Never played legacy, so starting off fresh wherever the majority of people decide to start.
 
I will be keeping my Legacy Character seeing as I have way too much Gil and high quality gear. Maxed out CNJ/WHM GLD/PLD MRD/WAR and got all the AF gear. Also had a lot of Ifrit items and Moogle Items done. Not to mention the un obtainable as of now Goobue mount and legacy chocobo, few of the event items and high level crafting classes I have. There are some classes I have not yet leveled though, so I will be starting those at level 1 and new classes from the start so I can experience the game from level 1 regardless.

Like Chaysm, I have way to much work invested into my character so I'm definitely keeping my legacy character. Oran and Orias still play and I saw Oran during the beta test so you'll have a few people there still.

Damn, I was looking forward to seeing you again Chasym.

I guess you could look at it that way as too much time invested.

I couldn't hardly enjoy much of 1.0 because of how crappy the engine was so I quit and didn't care to look back. Broken game was broken. I'm glad and all that they took steps to finally improve it, it just took way too long in my opinion. Those improvements should have been made within the first 2-3 weeks after the realization of how crappy their game was running, and sadly they were not.

But with the complete overhaul into ARR, I know I can finally enjoy this game like I wanted to the first time around.
 
KIIINDA pissed that I wasn't selected into the phase 3 Beta, but whatever! SE I'm sure knows EXACTLY what they're doing... Asshats. Anyway, I'll give it one shot when it goes live, then most likely fall right back to XI... ^-^
 
I've been out of the loop for ages and I've gotta say, this FFXIV ARR beta has got me pretty damn excited.

Well one of the perks of being Legacy is the ability to create as many characters as I want on any server I want, So I can still appear on another server!
 
I have kept quiet for the past 2 years, but I've played all the alphas, betas, and been keeping up with all the news. I moved from Michigan 2 years ago, joined the Navy and now I live in sunny San Diego, CA.

I'm going to be a full time player once again once this launches. I'm sure I will reunite with you boys once we get servers all figured out. :)
