I thought it was time, after seeing yet another person take advantage of a noob to point out that people are shouting in Jeuno about crystals for under half the price of the AH. Noobs, so worried about money are running through the menu not looking at the price.

These people are selling crystals each at stack prices. I have seen them in Bastok, Sandy, and Jeuno quiet frequently. When confronted by them, they just say "I need the money more than you". Beware of the selfishness. Don't let greed pace your buying speed.

Now the list (and Imma try and keep this updated):
Emmanuel has been doing it in Jeuno.

I'm sorry. I'm tired of the selfishness on our server. Its sad to see what its become. I hope this post helps some noob not lose their entire starting funds and quit a really fun game.
 
kinda sad that they do this spamming shit to sell something that usually sells before i can get back to my mog house lol.
 
this isnt selfish so much as evidience of the stupid gene.
if that person really thinks that trying to rip people on single crystals is a good way to make gil, and hes so broke that it Seems like a good income, well....just wow.
lol also, if you browse a bazaar and actually buy a stack of fire crystals listed at 3k each, Ignoring the confirmation button of "Buy the Fire Crystals for 18,000gil?", well, sucks for you then.

sometimes the apparent lack of grey matter in peoples skulls astounds me.

When I was a noob, I was selling crystals and I wa selling one for a stack price by accident, and I didn't know. Well some person bought it, and I realized he bought it for the wrong price so I gave him the other 11 crystals lol.

Um ... I may be the only one, here, but I'm confused about what you're saying.

When you say people are "shouting" about crystals for under half the price of the auction house, do you mean there are people shouting to BUY at a lower-than-usual price, or sell?

Regarding the second thing you said ... are they selling individual crystals on the auction house at the price of a full stack (I don't see how that could work), or is it that they're doing that in one-on-one personal trade mode, which would make more sense?
 
Ah, I think I understand now ... you're saying that they're /shout advertising about crystals at half price in their bazaar. When people come to snap up the deal, they purchase it too quickly to realize that the advertised price was for an individual, rather than a stack. Am I right?
 
i did that once a looooong time ago when i didnt know how a bazaar worked with stackable items. I had them priced lower then the ah price and shouted for hours had people check me and then walk off. i sat there for 3 days shouting and never sold 1. i was like wtf then someone shouted that i was a ripoff and to ignore me i'm like wtf? i sent them a /tell and they explained to me lol soi changed the price and they shouted it was a mistake funny they all sold that day.
 
There's an Elvaan somethingorother in Lower or Port Jeuno selling Utsusemi Shihei at 10k for one.

Nothing is getting sold in the AH.. its all /shout and bazaar

Saw someone with a bazaar like this on the Jeuno->Bastok airship. Fire and Wind crystals in his bazaar for 5k each. Told me he needed the money, then began pestering me to buy some. <.<;
