Big ol' Famitsu rumor

The point i was trying to make is that your all probably falling for what is one of the biggest jokes since the metatron torment thing, glad you enjoyed my sarcasm in whats going to turn out to be a big joke anyways though.

It's a translation from Japanese. Elementalist could very easily translate to elemental user. Sort of like how on NA version Paladin is Paladin but on the Japanese version it's more read as Knight.

But the Abreviation for Paladin is PLD in both languages. It may translate as Knight in Japanese, but they still see PLD when they search for it.

Some people are still on the Chocobo Knight kick? Here are some steps to making your dream a reality.

1. Level Paladin
2. Raise a chocobo
3. Ride Chocobo
4. ???
5. Chocobo Knight.

Have a nice (k)night.

Almost all of the jobs in JP are read in Japanese phonetics in simple katakana if I remember right, so they're not actually "names". A lot of them are also borrowed, such as Monku. Also, as mentioned before, they use the English abbreviations, so they would not be direct translates.

Sure, the Japanese version is read as Demon Taoist for BLM, but the abbreviation is still BLM, and not separate for the JP version, which would be DMT then. So Elemental User still doesn't fit.

You know, I always read the title as "Famitsu armor" dunno why, but I ignored it cuz of that lol...

Anyways, I dunno if these are real. They all just seem to be the jobs everyone has been clamoring for + the one SE announced. SE might give people 1 job that they want like BLU, but I think SE will have some surprise job(s) too.

Mounted Combat > Chocoshit Knight

personally I don't care but if it was like above then atleast we have another tank class job which we need more then another support/dd job

There's nothing written in stone that Chocobo Knight would even be a tank job if it were implemented. It might be another 2-handed weapon user, and even if it were a new tank, we still need people to actually want to play that role.

Also, if Chocobo Knight were implemented, it would upset the game's balance. They would have to make the chocobo run at normal running speed to balance it with other jobs. A lot of already displeased thieves would be even more-so displeased if they had their Flee taken from them and extended to an indefinite period.

My underlying point as to why I get so irritated at the idea of the job is because people don't think of all the counter-balances that would have to take place in order for something like a pet-mounted job to work. They just sit there and go "Oh look at this picture. That's a new job. No questions asked, kay? Just agree with me because the picture is there, and it is my proof."

Or you could make the chocobo a pet and not mountable. Solves the issues.

What would be the point then? A chocobo you can't ride?

You can still summon your chocobo. I'm just saying you don't HAVE to make Chocobo Knight a mount job, could do it like the rest of the pet jobs with an adolescent chocobo or something.

Chocobos don't really...fight...do they?
Wild Chocobos can in previous games. They can also be friendly until you attack them.

This.

It doesn't matter how many jobs that can tank are available. If nobody wants to play that kind of job, you're still stuck with a deficiency.

Yes but Famitsu was the one that published it so they probably went with a Japanese abbreviation. You're taking this as fact and taking what you think as fact. Once again just because you think that SE would never abbreviate a job EMU for elementalist or elemental user doesn't make it so. SE can name a job whatever they want and abbreviate it however they want.

What Japanese abbreviations? The Japanese use the same abbreviations we use.

And no, I don't think they won't abbreviate EMU for Elemental User, I know so. For the same reason they don't name Galkas Fat Dogs, or Tarutarus Midgets. And Elvaans for Wood Elves. They're the very same thing, but its not Final Fantasy-ish
