This may not be the right boards to post this, but here goes:

I've been unable to logon to FFxi for a month now due to CC issues. I have 2 CC's here in brazil, a Visa (which i only use to pay FFxi and online crap), and an American Express card, which is my day-to-day card.

In any event, my Visa card was cloned last month, and whenever crap like that happens in brazil they make out a big ass deal for nothing, so they blocked the card till this shit gets settled, which may take forever.

Now, i was gonna get another card, a mastercard or whatever to pay FFxi, but in brazil you can't get a card without a "fidelity" thing, where you have to sign a contract stating you'll use the cc for at least 6 months. As some of you know, i'm moving to the US in september, so that's out of the question.

My Amex card is just fine, but bullshit SE sayes the 3% fee return on it is way too high, so they don't take it (wow and other games do, go figure), so i'm in quite a conundrum.

So a couple weeks ago i phoned my grandparents in the US, and asked if they couldn't get me a debit card, those disposable ones, so sure enough, yesterday in the mail it gets here (stunned the mail only took 2 weeks, usually takes 2 months). So i have a shiny new "Chase Gift Card", with $150 worth of debit till it runs out.

Now, i know you can pay ffxi with a debit card, but this one doesn't have a name tag on it, i have no adress for it or anything. Instead of the name, it sayes "A GIFT FOR YOU", so when i try to pass it through the billing thing on POL it sayes the adress is off, which is quite obvious since i don't have one for this card.

So my question is, has anyone tried to pay FFxi with a disposable card like the one i have? And if so, what was the procedure?

Also, any light on the situation would be nice. Primarily i'm trying to logon cause i have an omega set stuck on my character from my LS, and that makes me feel kinda guilty, especially since this sort of crap wouldn't happen anywhere else aside fucking Brazil.

Anywho, i thank you in advance, and hopefully i can pay with this Debit GiftCard i got, or else i'll have to figure something out......
 
Or you could just use mine and send me money. Like I told you to do in the first place -.-;

There is no 1-800# on the CC you can call them up and ask them a name of the credit card?

But wiring money from brazil to the US isn't a walk in the park like it may sound like, there's a tonne of complications. I guess that's an alternative, but if i can use this debit card it'd be nice.

Thanks again gunk, may take you up on that if i figure how to wire money up there...

I pay for ffxi using those disposable debits. You have to activate them online in order to be used online.

The website I have to go to is:

Yours will most likely be diff, but google the giftcard, you may find somethin
