Kinda shocked there isn't a thread about this already. I wasn't interested in it until I was reminded it had multiplayer. I didn't particularly care for the original, but after watchin' some YouTubes of the MP I had to give it a go. I kinda figured it'd either be decent or shitty, but it's actually a helluva lot of fun. It's pretty much Team Fortress 2 on Crack. In a time full of realistic shooters this is really a necessary break in my opinion. I just rented it for the best but I'm definitely goin' to be buyin' this sucker after my rental is up.
On the technical side, I heard from some of my friends on the 360 that its a damn lagfest and freezes a lot so I opted for the PS3 version. The PS3 version suffers from lag, but it's not Gears of War lag where you shoot right at someone and they never die nor is it as bad as CoD: MW2 (bump, bump, make it 10 ft., bumped back 20ft). Every once in a blue moon I'd get a little hiccup, but it never happened durin' combat and never made me do the "WTF man come on!" It also never happened more than once a match. The matchmaking is shitty and due to the RPG nature of the game, the ranking up actually means a lot in this game as opposed to a Call of Duty game. That's really the only complaint I have against the game.
I figured since I didn't like the first game I wouldn't care for the single player in this one. I'm friggin' diggin' it. Being a Bi Daddy is just mind blowing to me for some reason. This Bioshock is just awesome. Hopefully the MP crowd will stick around for a long, long while.
