Bioshock

Overheard there are 70+ plasmids in the game... Now if some are just upgrades of lower versions i dont know. Customizing the weapons would have been a cool little thing for them to let us try in the demo also;; I want to see how it works.
 
I just finished playing the demo. Three words: I'm in love.

Definitely going to pick this one up. They'd practically sold me on it when I saw the art style, but some of the little set pieces made me start to drool: the water crashing into the glass tunnel; using electricity to fry the idiots standing in the pools of water; that last bit before fade-out when you're trapped in the room.

Must... buy...
 
I just played the demo too and this game is awesome. I have been waiting for this for a long time and I can see it is well worth the wait.
 
Played the demo. I am not too into this type of game but I loved it. I probably will be getting this also.
 
Just played throught it last night. I loved it! My roommate got creeped out when he heard the Little Sister singing lol.
 
Toys R us broke release date! Go!!! Or at least call first lol.
 
I got the game. Have been playing it for awhile.
The intro differes from the demo a bit, at the point where theres a security breach count down and the flight bots come out shootin and all those splicers come out and attack you and you get incinerate, none of that happens that way in the game, its less hectic and a little more creepy than that.
especially since i expected it to be the same as the demo.
when i saw the scene where you have to extract adam from a little sister, I was in awe when i chose the "good path" of how beatiful the animation and effect of that scene was.
i made that as spoiler free as possible.
but man that doctor is ONE CREEPY SOB!

"Doctor...shes not scheduled for a face lift. Doctor quit cutting....DOCTOR QUIT CUTTING!! PLEASE QUIT CUTTING! SOMEONE CALL THE HEAD SURGEON!!"

I didn't want to get this game just yet. I wanted to beat Enchanted Arms first.
But guess what.
You're making me do it. I'm going to the store after work.
And I won't stop cutting until I get my game.
 
It's not out until Tuesday.. so you may be out for a while >.>

This is probably my least favorite genre of all-time, but I downloaded the demo anyway at my friend's insistence. It was a ton of fun. I could see myself playing the demo a few more times but these games just aren't my cup of tea at all so I doubt I'd be buying it anytime soon. But honestly just the fact that I want to play the demo again says a lot for this game, lol.
 
the game isnt out for till the release date, unless you have a toys r us near by.

I thought i was weird cause this game was getting pretty hyped about how awesome it was and BGOY stuff, but i just didnt think it looked that great. After playing them demo I thought it was pretty good, I don't like how plasmids drain your eve in 3 uses and then have to inject again. Hopefully it gets upgraded throughout the game so thats not so bad. Although i did think the demo is good, i couldnt see myself spending 60 on this game. Im probably gonna rent it and play it through, and ill be done with it.
 
Man, this is one of the games I want so bad :D This and Mass Effect.. rawr
 
So you know... This game is incredibly sick, hot and DIFFUCULT. Man this is tough. Playing it on hard difficulty but usually blow through shooters there... I am gonna tone it down to normal and see if i can hang with the Daddys then lol.
 
the daddies are hard no matter what difficulty you choose, Tho later when you get HYPNOTIZE BIG DADDY plasmid, you can make a big daddy think your a little sister and he will attack your enemies, And yes that means OTHER big daddies. I watched a big daddy fight today doing that, twas fun.

I LOVE how this game hits some perfect timing in some spots with just predicting what the player will be thinking and using that in the game.
For instance, later youll run into a room with a bunch of posters of a man and it says "WHO IS (name removed for spoilers)"
and you immediatley see those posters and go...whoa wait?! wtf!? and the moment you think it...the radio chimes in with an explanation. I thought that was well done.

btw anyone actually going the route of just harvesting little sisters instead of saving? i wanna see what the rewards or result of that is.
im currently saving them all and eventually one of them left me a nice gift. i wonder if the same happens or better when you harvest.


and you gotta love the random lines that splicers use in battle or when you over hear them talking before they know your there.
Today i think i heard the best one, when i heard a guy yell "THERES SEMEN EVERYWHERE!! ALL OVER EVERYTHING!!"

or the teen football players
"ITS MY LIFE!! ILL DO WHAT I WANT!!"
or when you sneak up on em and they hear you they turn around
"daddy?!"

I am doing the "Save the sisters" Style also Chas. Got the Hypnotize big daddy reward bout an hour ago and had one of the sexy daddy on daddy moments you were just talking about. Eh also i found out you cant hypnotize em after you have angered them lol... Seriously the game is incredible, start it up fire!
 
Picked this up today, fucking win. I'm killing the sisters, I want my adam. saved the first one and i was like "Thats it?..." alot of fun though, currently playing on normal and still dont fuck with every bigdaddy i see
