Went to watch a movie last night so didn't get as much gametime in as I had hoped, but so far this is one freakin sweet game. Watching that dude get his chest drilled the fuck out then tossed through the window practically made my cry with joy.

I'm having some problems aiming, seems there's native mouse smoothing or something. However it seems they expected this and made the collision surface a bit larger than the models so if you accidentally shoot beside an enemy's head then it will still count as a head shot.

9/10 so far. Creepy factor is through the roof. Some of the dialogue from the splicers is freaky... like that zombie mother that was talking to her "kid". Anyone run into a Big Daddy yet? I picked up the Telekinesis mod about 10 minutes before going to sleep so I haven't fought one yet, just seen a couple walking around.

Trying to buy a 3rd psyid slot but the Gatherers I've seen so far don't allow me to purchase... I suspect that only specific ones will do this?

The CSRs are generally fairly understanding of situations like this. If you call up the Steam hotline, provide them your legit serial, and explain the situation then they're generally good for enabling additional activations.

Hell it works for Vista OEM ver... read a story about some guy that called them up, explained that he upgraded his mobo not knowing he had the OEM license installed, they enabled activation again so he could install it on his new computer.

Cool. I just get a little peeved with all these hoops you end up having to jump through. I mean I still occationally install Diablo or Starcraft and would be upset if they locked my out becuase I reached my install limit. Hard drives crash, files get corrupted, etc.

yeah you shouldnt have to worry about how many times you install something, when you buy it you should be able to install it as many times as you want. Same thing happened with my wifes windows XP, we were supporters and bought our copies, but when i found out there was a limit on how many times she could use the serial to install, i said screw it im not payin for another key just to install it.

Bleh, im just gonna buy both versions. My PC can run it at max settings but sometimes I like to sit on the couch and play.

Ok. I finally got my copy and started getting going... And the manual sucks and I haven't played FPSes in forever...

So somebody tell me how to hell to use the EVE Hypos? <.< I'm stuck wrench whacking everything. Which is actually very disturbingly fun...

I'm having huge issues aiming and burn through bullets like crazy.

When you have your electrohand up, press R to Reload. Although if you run dry, he'll automatically inject himself with another one.

I was having aiming problems for a while but the shock+whack thing they suggest works awesome.

Just picked up the Chemical Launcher last night... froze a bitch then whacked his ass with the wrench and played in the little chunks of ice.

Im picking this little gem up tomorrow for my PC and I cant freaking wait!!! BF2142 is getting dry. I watched a tonne of demos for this and I can't wait to experience the atmosphere of the game. I hear its super creepy to almost a FEAR caliber.

In my opinion this game gives off a bigger "creepy" factor than Fear did. Sometimes when I hear splicers talking in the distance or a big daddy's footsteps I hesitate turning the corner...

FEAR made me shit my pants more than Bioshock. The little girl in FEAR would appear and disappear - in Bioshock you kinda creep up on them while you devise your dastardly plan of deliverance, so it's less of a "zOMGWTFWASTHAT!" game.

Bioshock's environment can't be beat though. Listening to old 50s songs skipping on jukeboxes while a 400lb. dude in a diving suit with a drill on his arm follows a little girl with a 2-foot needle around, shaking your screen with every footstep he takes... it's a thing of beauty.

There's definitely some creepy parts though. Listening to that chick at the start talk to her "baby" in the carriage, the masterpiece with the 4 pictures, Atlas and the sub, the killer twist from Ryan...

I didn't think really either game was that scary. The only game that ever really scared me was when RE:2 was released on the PS1 and i tried the play that shit in the dark. I had to change my underwear at like 6 times.

Would you kindly, cmdr?

Kill me.

*bash*

A slave listens... *crunch*

a man *thud*

chooses... *BOMF*

is it a good buy? im in tech school right now i may buy it for my 360 though i dunno though

Its a good game for 360 right now if you are looking for a game. Near all of xbox live is empty because of halo 3, so if you don't have live, or don't want to play halo, i would strongly recomend this game.

I'll have to agree with this. Still one of my favorite old school games, nothing better than having a Licker crash through the interrogation room window and scare the shit out of you.

Okay, I beat this, and got the negative ending, and I feel like shit.

I never once rescued a Little Sister until right at the very end when I was criticized for it. I saw their kindness, so I rescued the last few that I encountered. I felt bonding, especially after the escort sequence.

But Jesus. The end?

I killed all the Little Sisters, betrayed Tenenbaum, and set free the Splicers on earth, effectively bringing upon the Apocolypse. Tenenbaum states the prologue in such a cold, candid way. >>

I killed the first little sister and saved the rest until I found out I had to save ALL of them, then I just killed them. Just watch the good ending on Youtube.

Bioshoooooock thread~!

I love this game, lol :D
I'm only like halfway through it though...
I gotta buy it someday so I don't have to pay $3 an hour at the arcade to play it, though D:

But a friend told me right away to save the sisters, and not kill. He said for the gifts I get, but there's separate endings too? Aaaand they way I'm going, saving alla them, will get me the good one?
Coz that's just cool beans.

The gifts are nice, but they're usually just ammo, Adam, and sometimes a Plasmid. Ammo was rarely a concern for me(especially once I could make the special ammo), I got more than enough Adam just by killing the kids, and I didn't use most of the plasmids that I got.

It's annoying that they made separate endings, but didn't change the gameplay at all.
