Monday is my B-day....does anyone else get depressed on their Bdays? I have noticed a few threads regarding such. I just feel BLAHHHHHH. I hate the "another year older and what the hell have I accomplished" shit that always seems to rule my brain at this time every year. /puke

Don’t worry Jen you’re only as old as you feel. I just turned 30 a few weeks ago, and was a little worried but when it happened I didn’t feel any different. It is just a number and anything negative that you associate with it is just in your head.

I generally don't celebrate my birthday unless the people around me are going to make a big deal about it and I have no choice but to give in. Another year of this world...whoo-hoo. But then I'm depressive by nature.

I'll often wonder what the point of life is, around my b-day. I mean currently I work to buy things to distract me from the passing of time and for retirment. That is about it. Is there some deeper pursuit I should attempt? Is their a true purpose to our lives or are we just some overly arrogant mammals that inject importance into frivilous things? In under two weeks I turn 27... What have I accomplished? Am I where I need to be? Is anyone ever satisfied? Is anyone ever not their harshest critic? Blah, blah, blah.
