A long time ago, I was on a forum that had a thread called "Bizarre Ebay". This was before people started putting stupid stuff up on Ebay all the time and people would bid outrageous prices on it. Every time we caught an item like that on there, we would give the link to it. The thread ended up 391 pages long before the forum finally shut down.

Now, people are selling crazy things and others are bidding ridiculous amounts of money on them all the time. I know I'm not the only one who will occasionally surf Ebay just to see what they have when I'm bored.

I figured I would bring it here to see what we can get going. If you find something worth mentioning (a stupid item for too much money, a really bizarre item, etc), post the link then under it the description and how much the bidding is at (if high) as of when you post it. That way if the bidding ends and the page is finally wiped, or if Ebay takes it off, others who come through can still see what it was.

There are a lot of bizarre items out there. I'll start with a few. Let's see what the people of QCDN can find! :D

Celebrity Jar - The One, The Only, The Original - Air

Description : A jar of air that was at the premiere of "Mr. and Mrs. Smith".
Current bid : US $10,100.00 (131 bids total)

I find this one insane. Sure, it comes with two t-shirts but it's not like this happened 80 years ago.

Old Car $50, Shipping $1,500, Treasure Inside, Priceless

Description : A 1993 Wagon full of mystery treasures including antiques, cash, collectibles, etc.
Current Bid : US $10,901.99 (33 bids total)

My Car Full of Treasures

Description : A 2000 Ford Mustang Coupe with $3,000 stereo system filled with goodies.
Current Bid : US $10,202.00 (31 bids total)

These two are by the same person. I want to think it's a hoax but his feedback is so high. I had to post them. I don't see how someone could actually trust bidding on these. x.x

Human Soul

Description : A human soul guarunteed to get you to heaven.
Current Bid : GBP 2,500,100.01 [Approx. US $4,577,308.10] (2 bids total)

All I have to say is "wtf?" to this.

Vintage Barbies

Description : Vintage 1963 Barbie and 1958 Skipper dolls.
Current Bid : AU $19,990.00 [Approx. US $15,550.22] (1 bid total)

I have to laugh at this. I have both of these. My mom handed them down to me when I was little and I handed them down to Jenni. I wasnt a doll fanatic. I was more interested in the TV and throwing eggs in the house (not hardboiled, either ). Jenni is more interested in her musical keyboard and throwing things. Both are in like-new condition with original boxes. I took them to an antique show up here near me (yes, I actually like antiques) and had them priced. They gave me an approx of $2,000 for them. On a good day, they would go for a maximum of $5,000 as the pair.

I'll stop posting links for right now. I'll leave some for you guys. :P

The 1 for the Human Soul is unreal... I really don't know what to say lol. The Q&A is priceless tho...

Yep. You can sell ANYTHING on Ebay. I bet if you said a penny you have has brought you a ton of luck, like winning the lotto or bringing home $10,000 from the casino where you only took $50, or it saved your life or something really huge, you could probably sell the penny for anywhere between $10 to $5,000. No joke. Someone claimed they had a possessed piece of bread which sold for $55,000 and yes, someone actually bought it. x.x

Lmao.. Atr, that is a totally great post.. that's some funny stuff.... a possessed piece of bread.. hahahahaha

I'm not even kidding about that $55,000 piece of "possessed" bread.

The story went something like this (not exact words but I read it over and over so I remember every piece of the story) :

"As I do every week, I went grocery shopping, picked up bread, eggs, milk, everything on the list. Brought it home, put everything away, and decided to make a sandwich. I got the bread out, turned around to grab some ham and when I turned back around, that piece of bread was gone. I thought my dog grabbed it so I just grabbed another piece. Later that night, I found the piece of bread in my bed. My dog was unable to get there because I shut my bedroom door. I threw it away, went to bed, and was awoken to scratching at my window. I looked outside the window and there it was. The piece of bread was sitting on the ledge. I opened my window, grabbed the bread, and threw it in to our neighbors yard. The next morning I woke up to sirens. Many sirens. I look outside and see three firetrucks on our street along with a few ambulances and police cars. I see something blazing in the corner of my eye, look over, and our neighbors house is on fire.

I ran down stairs in my pajamas, grabbed shoes, ran outside to make sure the neighbors were all right. As I was running outside, there that piece of bread was, sitting on my doorstep. I made sure to step on it a few times before running over to my neighbors. They were all right so when the fire was finally put out, I went back to my house and the bread was no longer there. I shrugged it off hoping that a stray cat or dog grabbed it, went inside, went to turn on the TV, no power. Everything was plugged in. Tried to turn on the lights and they wouldn't turn on. I grab my flashlight, head to the basement to check my circuit breaker, and there the bread was. Right on top of my circuit breaker.

I was scared. I grabbed it to tear it apart and it burned me. I pinned it down with a chair, ran upstairs, grabbed my keys, and headed to my local church. When I got there, I asked the priest if he could come take a look at this. When we both got back, the bread was no where to be found. We searched everywhere. I thought it finally went away. I go downstairs after three hours of searching for it to make me and the priest some lunch. When I opened my refrigerator, there was nothing in there. Same with my cabinets and freezer. I took him out to eat instead.

The most shocking thing happened when I got home. I pulled on to our street and noticed MY house was on fire. When they got it put out, it was too burnt to live in so I went to my mother's house. I went back after a few hours to grab what I could. There, in the middle of the hallway, where nothing would of survived that fire, was the piece of bread.

Since I had boxes with me, I grabbed it, threw it in a box, taped it up so it couldn't get out, threw it in my car, drove to the bank, and had it stuffed in my safe in the vault. This was three days ago. Today I went and checked and it was still there but the box was in shreds.

I am selling this to get rid of it. Maybe someone doesn't believe me and wants to test it themselves. Maybe someone wants to study it. Maybe someone wants to give it as a birthday gift to someone they hate. I don't care. Just get it off my hands and away from me. I'm starting the bidding at $1 because I just want it gone. Shipping is free."

Those weren't the exact words. It was way more detailed. I just remember the basics.

Base price : $1.00
Bid #1 : $5.00
Bid #2 : $6.00
Bid #3 : $7.00
Bid #4 through #62 all go up a dollar.
Bid #63 : $300.00
Bid #64 : $1,000.00
Bid #65 : $1,001.00
Bid #66 : $2,500.00
Bid #67 : $5,000.00
Bid #68 : $15,000.00
Bid #69 : $15,001.99
Bid #70 : $40,000.00
Bid #71 : $55,000.97
WON

I watched the auction go through, seen all bids made, and seen the feedback on both of them meaning yes, one paid, the other sent. Was the craziest auction I've ever seen.

There was a styrofoam cup with a drawn on smiley face called "Mr. Happy Cup." I think it went for somewhere in the 100's of millions. >_>

No link, sorry.
