Now notice something. The equipment list organizes itself, so that weapons are at the top no matter how your inventory is organized. Now notice that there is no kracken listed. He shopped a kracken over his empty off-hand slot. That's also why the equip screen is covering his entire character, instead of focused in on the club like it should be.
