Its worth it though if you ever do get time to watch it. Its pretty good.
They're behind on the episodes because they started airing episodes about 2 years after bleach first started running. If they immediately picked up in the bount arc, no one but the fans who have watched the subs would have any idea who the characters were or what was going on and the show would tank. There have been several animes that have been dubbed really well, almost all within the last few years; due to the increased popularity of the medium, companies actually trying to dub things well.Sorrowfulturnip said:Its always hard for me to watch dubbed after watching subtitled for so long. After awhile you just get used to the voices for each character and how the voices react with the actions of the characters. After getting adjusted to that, its hard switching to a whole new voice cast. Plus I just like the sound of the japanese voices. They're so much more into it than english dubbed. Course I haven't seen bleach dubbed so I can't really compare, but with past animes I've seen, these are the things I've noticed. Plus on cartoon network, they're behind on the episodes. I don't want to watch episodes I've already seen. I want to keep moving on with the series with the Japanese version.
This is all a personal preference. Theres nothing wrong with dubbed or anything and theres nothing wrong with watching it. I just personally prefer subtitled for reasons mentioned above.

Urahara's dub voice isn't as whimsical and carefree as the Japanese one, other than that I liked it. It might just be a cultural thing, just like Kakashi doesn't sound as stoned in the dub as he does in Japanese, but the voice is still good.Myrrh said:Urahara voice in english sucks donkey dick. the jap one is so much better and plays well to his character. but the other voices are pretty decent.
though i am glad they didn't censor the blood and swears. <,< fucking One peice english still makes me hurt inside.

One thing I remembered that I didn't like in the last dubbed episode(where Ichigo meets Zangetsu for the first time) is that Zangetsu actually said his name and Ichigo just didn't hear it. In the Japanese version, they didn't actually air Zangetsu's name, you were listening from Ichigo's perspective and he couldn't hear the name yet, so neither could you. If you haven't watched the subbed version before, you don't know the significance of that, but it annoyed me that they would do that kind of thing.

I've been sifting through some of the old filler, and I've gotta say, watching Byakyuya (who is quickly becoming my favorite character) and Ichigo use Bankai against Kariya is pretty damn cool to watch.
