Blind invites..and search comments..again V_V [m]

This is driving me crazy again x.x

Two stories.

1. I was in Yutunga Jungle, looking for a pt, while waiting, and I get a blind invite having my search comment say: No blind invites. (although he was a few steps next to me I cant blame him for that) I turn it down..get invited again..turn it down..so he stopped inviting. woohoo!

Anyways a few minutes later I get the same invite..turn it down and he /tells me
Him: We really need a whm..please joing
me: no, you keep blind inviting me, you should always ask someone if they want to pt before inviting them (its just common curtisy (sp)
Sorry..will you come though?
Sure

Second Story

Ok..I'm working on some fame for Windy when I Have my search comment (Party, no thanks) Guess what? A person from Yutunga asks me to party
him: hey do you want to party?

me: um didnt you read my comment...it says i dont want to

him: i know, but i wanted to see if you wanted to party or not

me: look, i have PARTY NO THANKS..what makes you think I do want to party? I doubt someone is goina have a search comment saying they dont want to pt when they really do

I know..I kinda went out on him -_- but seriously..if it says someone doesn't want to party..they don't want to party

Haha Depending on the Job I am playing as, I might take it or I might not.

If I am playing As a Black mage, then I will not settle for anything less than a /tell sent beforehand.

If I am playing THF... Then I'll accept it without question XDThank god this usually only happens at the lower levels ^^

Some people consider it rude when people just send an invite without asking if they wish to party.
It's a bit impolite.

Haha On a side note, I remember I go a blind invite from this newb and I told him it t'wasnt very nice to do that, and he said "Okay Sorry" instead of flaming me. ^^ I love the people willing to learn.

Back on Topic: Yeah, that's why. It's always better to ask ^^
 
Honestly I dont care if someone blind invites me..as long as the pt doesnt suck I am fine ^^

Though if I'm not seeking and I get a pt Ill just be mad at fate for getting me a pt invite when I cant join one. :cry:
 
It's not the getting an invite that pisses us off. It's just that if you have search flag up saying you don't want to party, well... it's really fuckin' annoying.

Like we don't have other things to do, like farm, quest, craft, or spend time with the linkshell?

I get those kinds of invites. My search comment will say
(Party) (No Thanks)
(I'm not up for it.)

and I'll still get /tells asking if I want to party. I asked one guy why he bothered when it said I didn't want to party, and he said "I was hoping you'd change your mind." Points for effort.

My favorite was the speedy guy who invited me before my search comment scrolled up in his window. His invitation was "Wanna party in the Crawler's Nest? Ooops. Sorry." We had a laugh about that one. :D :?
 
on behalf of all DD's everywhere i would like to tell all you little midget mages <^> i would accept a party if it was 6 war/mnks with underleveled subs and alliance with a whm who wsa 8 lvl's lower than the rest of the party

i know DDs have hard time getting pts...but do you like negative xp? <,<
 
i usually blacklist people who invite me when my search comment says that im busy or dont want to party. I usually lay into them in some kind of rude auto translate and then add to blacklist. blind invites only bother me post yhoator jungle.
