So I'm walking through Port Jeuno and get an invite to party from a guy named Cyruss. Cyruss tells me his party is awesome and is made up of high levels. He then asks me can I MB for over 800dmg.....I say I can with Freeze. He replies in a friendly way and asks if I want an invite. Going against myself I decided to go for it. Party setup was WAR MNK WHM RDM (Cyruss the Dumbass) BLM and THF. We go to CN and discuss a skillchain. Cyruss is pretty openminded at this point. We decide to a Fusion MB between the MNK and WAR so that the THF can SATA onto the WAR whenever he/she can. Well we get rolling.....then the fun starts. Apparently 648 dmg off Firaga II isn't enough so Cyruss decides he wants to change the SC to something we can get 800+ off of. I tell him I cannot unless I use Freeze(307 to cast, takes awhile to cast, and a nuisance to time the SC on). He then starts telling me I can somehow w/o Freeze. I tell him over and over that its not possible. It doesn't sink in. He tells me he's seen it before plenty of times with all his high level jobs. Aurorastar(Dunno how to spell his/her name) does it! I'm questioning myself about it so I ask what spell. No reply. I'm pretty much annoyed and so is the party. I chew him out about it and he secretly invites another BLM to replace me (Thank God I knew him so I can tell him to avoid his bloody madness). I chew him out and I decide to leave along with the THF and WHM. The WHM teleport Dems and Cyruss doesn't move. Woo there they go to KH. He was furious and tells her he was going to MPK her and it was a promise. I then chew him out some more and tell my friend (replacement BLM) to leave. He boots me so I'll shut up. Hmmmm I won't talk to him in /tell....yeah right. So all and all Cyruss your a dumbass and a nuisance. I personally think you bought your account. Oh yeah one more thing, RDM MELEE!!!!!! :lol: Avoid partying with Cyruss. If your a BLM better have all the INT you can so you can MB 800+ at 53 :wink:
Hmm... at 53 I wasn't able to cast normal spells w/ 800+ DMG MBs.

And that's with (ele)Staff+1, mold, and highest possible INT gear for hume + crimson jelly.
At 53 it is impossible to MB for more than 800 damage without using Freeze. It's hard to regularly do over that until you can start MBing Blizzaga II which isn't until 57 :\.
Unless for some reason he was leveling on slimes which have a natural increased damage from magic >_>.

I don't mind lack of paragraphs as long as the grammar and punctuation is there, which it is in this case. It's when sentances run together and 3 letter words are abbreviated that it becomes annoying.
Back on subject, I bet you could break 800 at 53 with Firaga II, on firesday, double fire weather, with pimped out gear, if you got lucky. It's people like him that want the big number that annoy me, rather than the larger DoT at a smaller MP cost.

Yeah it was just one of those days where u cry out for a good party, but end up just having 2-3 shoddy ones.
I didnt complain about doing a freeze MB for him cause I got a good macro for it anyway, and it usually ends the battle when it hits as the mob is at about half to 1/3 life left. Only problem is Cyruss was to into his meleeing to refresh me promtly after casting such a MP heavy spell. Therefore we end up having mega downtime.
One of those parties im afraid where exp is slow and people get pissed off, we all get them from time to time. Also Cyruss could have handled his troops better, hence the reason this flame post was made.

Well thanks for the heads-up guys, I'm level 53 blm now so I wont bother partying with him if he doesn't refresh much and demands ludicrous damage for minimal mp... Just not gonna happen :lol:

A taru is the only race that has enuff MP to waste on AM Burst while leveling below 65 or so.
Other than that, Fussion > Firaga II was the best way to go for Damage.
However, I have always been reluctant to use -ga bursts as they are not MP efficient at lower lvls. When your Int reaches 80 or so, you'll start seeing serious Numbers from Spells Like Blizzaga II.
But all in all, bitching to a blm because they aren't doing enough Damage on a MB is an exercise in futillity.
Blm should only be bitched at if they do too much damage and pull hate more than 2x/fight, or if they miss the MB more than every great once in a while.
If you don't do those 2 things as a Blm, Congratulations, you have achieved mediocrity!

I'd disagree with the point that a Taru is the only race that can MB AM pre-65, as I've seen an Elvaan do it very regularly. And if an Elvaan can, then I'd think any race can. All through Terrigan we had Osse bursting with Burst on an Impaction chain (it was the best we could do with our static setup at the time, haha). Course, he's pimped out in uber RSE gear and has a RDM that refreshes him every round. Otherwise, I'd agree with everything else that was said. 
Bitching about a BLM not getting impossible numbers on MB is ridiculous. 9 out of 10 times, when I played with a pickup BLM, I'd be content if they could actually land a MB, period. -_-
