I could list my degree and certifications, but I don't care to. I don't need to attempt to lord it over electronic people I don't know to make myself feel better.

Everything here IS meaningless when concerning real life activities, such is the way of any sort of electronic medium.. that's why it works so well for fantasy and games.

Peregrine's background shouldn't be argued here. It's a red herring, and it has nothing to do with the argument for or against a black mage nerf. For the sake of sanity, everyone should concede that Peregrine is indeed a doctor to be. That's definitely a fact worthy of praise. You're going to be a doctor, Peregrine, and maybe you'll accomplish great things. I hope you do. If you save lives, everyone wins. But save that for another thread. You can't win one argument by distracting us with another.

This is a thread about whether or not black mage is overpowered and needs a nerf; about the type of person who plays black mage, and whether or not they're responsible for ruining the game. There was a good conversation going on, and neither side was completely without merit. If you abandon your cause, Peregrine, people will assume you've accepted defeat.

I don't think you come here for 24 pages worth of conversation just to speculate on the sort of real life situations behind each player. I myself, am a loser. You needn't speculate. I'm a loser until I turn my medieval history degree into a career. But whether you're a doctor and I'm a historian won't win any kudos here. Stick to the black mage argument. Incorrect, I take anyone and everyone who's available because I don't care about your job as long as the base roles are fulfilled and you can do your job well. Such things as NEEDing a healer or a tank are pretty much unavoidable due to the design of the game. /shrug

I spend my time doing my coursework and very little time farming, I earn my money by the donations from teleports and slowly advancing through crafting. Most of my money comes from sales on Shihei. I'm not sad, in fact.. i'm quite happy and laughing while typing back and forth. The game is not a competition.. or a job.. or a loot whoring competition.. it's a game. I enjoy helping linkshell mates do things. People who know me generally respect me in-game, I don't judge them by the gear they are wearing. The only time i've ever said anything was once upon a time going back to the dunes I had a party mate that was wearing worker gear to an experience party instead of armor.. relying on a Powerleveler instead of learning their job.

You can Google search anything intelligent I've ever seen you post, but a few small quips showed a superficial knowledge of medicine that most people wouldn't bother to look up.
