BLM Nerf

Some of the rng changes were already unerfed. Now rng can sharshot then use barrage and hit most of the aroows at a very high rate.

Yeah so sharpshot hass rng acc of what my RNG used to have w/o sharpshot. lol. It's a baby step.. but in the right direction.

By the way, secret to summoning the Odon is simply sitting down and patting your lap.

Though alot of the time just sitting down results in him scampering up and sitting down. I feel like a chair... x_x

Regardless what the OMFG POOR RANGERS fags think, the ranger nerf was warranted, and was a GOOD THING. Non-rangers were getting shafted HARD by the players during the ranger dominance.

they are not nerfing BLM. they are just gonna nerf Odon. no one else.

ANY JOB NERF = less xp/hr = less effectiveness to HNMS etc. etc. etc.
=*No Thanks*

The Mobs AI and spell inventory continues to be improved, new level cap challenges emerge... and jobs get nerfed? To what end?

The RNG NERF killed the job PERIOD. You are lucky to see 1 RNG at Jorm, Tiamat, Kirin, etc., if any at all. You used to see tons of them. If BLM get the heave-ho... then fighting the big boys in the game will become even more of a drawn out event.

I think they should un-nerf some of the rng changes, then my RNG mught actually lvl past 59, where it has sat for over a year.

Another crybaby doom-sayer.

Ranger was far from killed off. The ones that adapted know that. As powerful as they were? No. Still powerful under the right conditions? Ofcourse, just like every other job.

Can't people just adapt?

This will weed out the omglookatallthedamageimdoingwithminimalbrainuse people.

Pre ranger nerf there were two types of rangers I saw....
The "Hit my ranged attack button and that's all I do."
and
The "Do my range attacks, and my job abilities, and WS properly, and scavenge".

The second type of ranger is still around...

Why not just insert the fire spell into the fire eqiupment macro?
this way I can use whichever fire spell I want without having to scroll through macro sets to find the right one, I prefer to scroll through the spell list instead, which OH NOES I have to reorganize ; ;

I like to keep macro sets for my other jobs ready for whenever I feel like messing with the job.

Tag...I never mentioned THF...I said Ninja and Ranger and you missed my point which was that people don't want to level them, RNG in particuler, because it's too much cost vs too little impact. I'm saying that ALL nerfs, regardless of the job or whether or not you choose to level them, will have a negative affect on everything you do in the game. All nerfs are bad...it's been proven again and again in all the MMORPGs but people still complain that such and such is too powerful and then someone else get's screwed. No more nerfs for any job....it doesn't help.
The nerfs wouldn't happen if people would stop abusing the jobs or aspects of the game. If SE just said "ok, stop abusing those jobs, please" everyone would laugh at them and continue to abuse the jobs; so SE making changes is the only way they can stop those abuses. I'd love it if they'd stop weakening the jobs, but most people are fucking idiots and only want to exploit imbalances and go overboard, so changes/nerfs are the natural result. The exploiting players cause the nerf, and then blame everyone else for it.

LOL, Discuss.

Well first off you are a tarutaru... and secondly you are <too weak> Clothcrafter....

Oh wait... you mean the job was nerfed >.> I will be so glad when tests are over so that I can come back to fantasy world ; ;

If that's true.... does that mean you're predicting next nerf is for melee? To stop them from abusing their jobs to get huge chains in their burn PTs?

I'm anti nerf altogether. I just find it funny how it turned out. I feel though for all those nerfed melees who didn't want anyone nerfed in the first place. Was unneeded bullshit. At least it was less effect than what people were doomsaying about BLM.
Thf took a decent slap in the face, but nobody else saw a real nerf. Nin and Mnk saw a small TP drop, all other melee saw a big TP boost, the bigger their delay, the bigger the boost. I got about a 10% boost to my bow on rng. There wasn't really a melee nerf, just a thf nerf.

SE is nerfing everything, jobs and mobs. IThe entire game is gonna be that one event pretty soon, where we all run around with wooden katanas doing one damage a pop to mobs that don't fight back.

Exp is never why they nerf anything, I seriously can't get why can't understand that. It's all about endgame, where the actual challenge lies; where it's supposed to be hard. The abuses lead to trivializing the challenges, so they remove the ability for abuse, but since there's no meleeburning endgame melee jobs likely won't be hit with a direct nerf. It'll probably just be more general things like the TP change.

Exploiting the game is exploiting the game. Ask those people with jobs that don't get invited with the monks to KRT or a Rampage-PTs what they think about trying to XP in the same area, in a reg PT, while the people in the other PT are getting chain 20+, snatching up all the mobs & killing their XP/hour.

I bet it sounds a lot like those that complain about the blm's KS30 runs.

Square doesn't want exp to be hard. First the exp update, then the DC/EP update, the empress bands, and probably something else down the line. Thus, manaburn, rampageburn, bones, freakin' THFburn are perfectly fine by them. If you can't get the mobs first, well... Does SE make multiple King Behemoths spawn at the same time, just so everyone can get a turn fighting?

It's when you start killing their end-game challanges as easially as one would kill an exp mob, that they have a problem. And when they have a problem, you have a problem. Generally in the form of a giant plastic/foam hammer.
