BLU Pants - Help!

Okay~ heres my situation:

Basically, aside from accessories (e.g. earrings, rings etc.), my gear for BLU is pretty gimp. With the release of BLU relic gear, it should improve some, but until January (when I will join a limbus shell for homan) I'll be sticking with the gear that I have. But I am confused as to what pants I should get.

Currently, I am using the cobra unit subligar for melee (stats: Accuracy +5, "Store TP" +3, Emnity -4 and gives counter when paired with another piece of set (which procs so low its not even worth taking into consideration)), and macroing magus shalwar into spell which use VIT and AGI modifiers (e.g. cannonball, vertical cleave, hysteric barrage). I thought about getting Prince's slops (HP and MP +30, MND +3, Accuracy +4) but I'm still not convinced it's worth spending 100-200k when I already have a pair of pants that are nearly as good, but if they are much better then I would probably buy.

Are there any better pants that I could get? I fully intend on getting limbus/znm gear eventually, but for personal reasons I have to put that on hold until January. So just something decent-ish that I can get pretty easily until then.

well the cobra gear would help a lot for those multi-hit spells since they do kinda need the extra acc. The store tp would be helpful if you had a way to get chain affinity off quicker or you could do an extra ws while CA is in cooldown and be able to get 100tp when it's up.


I'd guess that it'd be dependent of your other gear, the prince's slops themselves I'd get for a max mp(ie mp to burn off with buffs then switch to other gear) but as far as helping damage cobra would be better. And since you're a whm you have errant/mahatma for mnd/int spells.

Most of your spells generally require STR, and the multi-hitters need acc. If I'm not mistaken, every STR legs piece for BLU is rare/ex. You could try joining with a ZNM ls, Enkidu's legs has the highest STR for BLU, and most of the set in general is very good. I personally like the BLU relic pants the most atm (STR+3 acc+5). For the time being, I'd say stick with the cobra gear, I don't think there is anything worthwhile from Prince's Slops anymore.

Oily Trousers (DEX/AGI/ACC/RACC+5, Decreased Movement Speed) are purchasable, but expensive. Frenetic Rip, Hysteric Barrage, and Disseverment each have DEX mods, so between that and the extra ACC, they work decently for those spells.

Is the difference worth the price? Up to you to decide.
