Blue Dragon

Wondering if anyone else around here has checked out gametrailers videos about blue dragon and the preview

from what I've seen, looks pretty fun. I'm not a big fan of dragon ball-esque character appearance but that's a minor thing that's really not a problem. From what I've seen so far (watching the rest of the videos) it looks like they sorta brought back that free roaming style and getting an airship to freely fly around in that I've missed for so long from my RPGs. That's something I'll enjoy a lot I also enjoy the idea of dragging enemies into a battle that don't like each other

I might not have a 360 (I have no new gen yet actually XD) but just checking this out I really am interested in trying it out and wonder how others feel about this game. Sooo discuss?

I dunno. I like Toriyama's art style, because it's readily identifiable and unique. I'd rather have his work than Generic Amine style #4502.

I still want DQIX more, but I do want this, and it'll come a lot sooner, so that's a plus.

that is true, it is nice to have the originality. But for the style itself things seem so disproportionate to me

I'm just glad he doesn't do the stories for the games he does Art for. Or we'd have characters dying and coming back to life every couple of hours.

He can draw, but he sure can't tell a story well.

LOL omg ya.. XD I think he was trying to appease fans I guess.. I have no idea why he'd kill some off and bring em back when they were mostly useless anyways.

Yeah, I agree. When I played through Dragon Quest 8, I felt like the main character was Gohan in a pirate/gypsy costume and it was awesome.

I'm looking forward to this game. Plenty of Final Fantasy alumni involved, although I'm still trying to figure out how it can span multiple discs. Whew! That's a lot of information!

Blue Dragon is gonna be a great game, like every other RPG Toriyama has been involved with. You all know he's worked in some of the best in the genre. I even bought Tobal and Tobal 2 (JP onry) because of his style and those were great games too.

From what gametrailer says, Nobou had some hit and misses. They said some songs sounded great but others just sounded... bad lol I can't wait to see for myself.
