Blue Mage new pics and confirmation

omg, those screen shots... makes me want a x360... i love my pc's graphics but >_> x_x 360 is sooo much prettier!

I think i heard that 360 has a longer sight distance too? Man it would be nice,not to have the person your looking at just.. disappear after a certain distance:)
 
It's nice to finally see new areas that don't look exactly like Promyvion or Sky zones. Maybe they'll throw in some differently colored crabs or beetles or something too.
 
ya.. now they just look like the Elshimo island areas or Boyahda Tree with a bit different coloring :\

They said that longer sight distance was for terrain only.
 
I really like the look of the new zones. It's a lot less bland than many of the new areas theyve been coming out with.

And as for the 360. While it upsets me, I must admit the game looks really pimp...... how could I ge those graphics on PC?
 
It's simple. There are registry keys for overlay resulution and background resolution. just toy with them.

I dunno... these screenshots look rendered, especially the one I posted above.

At least touched up somehow. I have a top of the line 64bit system with 256mb ATI X800pro video card and I dont even see detail and smoothness like that unless there is something Im missing...

well, considering it's straight from SE, they probably have a better computer than you <.<; And are you sure you're not looking at the x-box screenshots? XD

I posted it with a subject like that because I felt it was appropriate. It was an interesting post I found on Alla. It's not my problem if noone reads it.

Read my previous line. Using the config tool for FFXI can only get your detail so far. You can really make it look amazing by toying with 2 registry keys.

Linky to what I'm talking about. If you can't understand it in that post, it has a link to the original material.

I take no responsibility if you mess up your Registry and FFXI needs to be reinstalled.
