Got invited to a group today. It had Rng, Pld, Mnk, and myself a Thief. We needed mages, and I stuck around until we got a Red Mage and a White Mage.
Anyway, when we get into crawlers and get towards the rumbler room *yuck* I find out the Monk and the Paladin didn't have silent oils, so I traded the Monk and gave the Paladin one.
Anyway, the Monk gets aggro off of sight and gets himself killed. I move on to the pt and suddenlly the Paladin dissappears. We figure it's a d/c but when I check the paladin is in Jueno.
So I send Boadicea a tell askign if they got disconnected.
Nothing.
Okay, so you bailed on us? I know thing's aren't off to a good start, but you could have at least SAID something.
Thne I get a reply, "Don't send me tells, I'll send you money for the silent oil."
Well, the Monk leader tries to tell us that the paladin DC before I found out they were still around. When I told the pt the Monk bailed as well. I believe they were friends. We managed to get a Ninja and a Samerai, and the pt eventually turned out some xp.
Well, while we were doing that our Red Mage starts getting tells from Boadicea to leave our group and join theirs. Red Mage stayed with us, but the general level of this asshat behavier ticked me off.
I sent one more tell to Boadicea:
"You really are an asshat."
Reply was simply along the lines of lol, Thanks I'm glad you think so.
I left it at that and went back to the pt, but generally I suggest not partying with this Paladin. Self-serving asshat who will leave you at any time w/o warning.
The Monk was kind enough to let us know he was leaving and even got the Samerai to replace him. If only everyone had that kind of decency.
