Bonafide account buyer.

Noticed that myself, and wondered if anything would be said.

I have seen plenty of account buyers (none in FFXI though, all in EQ) who turned out to be awesome players. Some people buy accounts because they switched servers and didn't want to level up again, etc etc.

I realize some people feel strongly about account sales and trades, and that's cool. To me if wouldn't be a problem if the person knows how to play the game. Intricate details about specific high level situations that he or she may not know about can be easily taught. Contrary to popular belief no MMO is rocket science and anyone who has a reasonable interest to get something right will be able to do so in no time flat.

2 things

1) Xadoc who recently (after i quit, before I came back) is a purchased account. He posted in LS forum to let is know. He's in OH now

2) Coincidentally Passions (who sold tittimonga) sold the account you just posted, is also in OH. Think they should know the type of folks they got

Just cause you met passions and he seemed like a nice guy doesn't make him innocent of being involved with RMT. If you are going to persecute the guy who bought the account, you'd better shine the light on the guy who sold it in the first place.

Is it a problem if the person the account came from said it was stolen?

How bout the buyers refusal to speak with the original owner of the account?

Or the idea that everyone here flamed passions till he left qcdn for good because they think he sold the account?

I suppose it's just another person that will never be welcome in our community because of RMT.

I prefer to play my own accounts. Hell I have 2 already and a possible third that I will be starting depending on if I get a job in the next month. Already have one for each Playstation so I gotta have one for the Xbox 360 right.

While there is no dispute over the fact that Tittimonga was Bought, there is the question of wether or not it was sold or stolen. This is one of those things that can't be proved one way or the other. althought we are in America, so inocent untill proven guilty tho, right?

Or does the internet not count as the USA?

Um... Titimonga was stolen then sold, it wasnt Passions that sold it.. get your facts before you try to blast someone.

Why would somebody intentionally sell a 75 WHM, just to buy another 75 WHM and intentionally draw attention to themselves about it?

And if they did... who really cares? Passions is not presently in OH anyway, so I am not biased on this matter. But seriously, if someone did sell an account to buy an account with the same damn level/job on it, I don't think I would give a damn personally.

You have to be pretty gullible to believe it was stolen.

Xadoc is a pretty dedicated player. Seems to be a decent paladin. lol can't say too much for the previous owner of this account. OH really scraped the bottom of the thief barrel for that one.

Tittimonga was in the mid 60's when I saw Wildkitty playing her about a week ago.

My assumption was someone was trusted with the account information that shouldn't have been. He apparently has a relationship with that Rikkiku or whatever maybe her son Catgirl got a hold of the account information of his. It could have been any number of scenarios like that, that's just one possibility. If he just wanted to sell it... why would he then buy back another account? The idea of someone just hacking his account sounds unrealistic. But so does the accusation of selling an account just to buy an exact replica of it. I'm sure IGE sells it for more than they buy it so it wouldn't really make any sense.

1) Passions gave them the info needed to access his account. I dont see a credible company deciding to up and steal an account. My guess is sellers remorse.

2) How would you like it if you bought a used car from a dealership, and the owner tried to get you to give it back?

3) WSM gets bashed more than anyone on this board, I don't see you lighting a candle for him. They both put themselves on the spot, WSM doesn't care Passions bitched up and ran.

4) God willing this RMT won't be accepted into any LS whose members post here. But fact of the matter is, people don't care if you RMT, the proof is in how people like Gaebo and Grease, people who have bragged not only to me, but others about how they RMT still function with LSs on our server.

Regardless, if he was going to sell a level 65 to buy a level 75... why would he then make a post about it. Yes his story seems fishy but so does that explanation. More likely it was stolen by someone who he either gave his account info to directly, or got account info from someone else he trusted with it. Hence my example with his apparent relationship with Rikkiku yet the obnoxious child living with her. Perhaps he could say, and even be right to say "This person would never rob me." But then someone else with access as a result of her getting would. Things like this are very common.

Anyway, a good way to get it all behind him is simply offer to trade accounts with the new Tittimonga. Assuming there's a reputable third party willing to oversee the exchange, he gets his original account back, drama over, account buyer gets a level 75 not 65 which should be preferable, and I get to read about more interesting flames like that kid talking shit about his drunk mom.
