I love books. When I relax, I set my musicmatch to random and crash on the couch with a good book. My all time favorite series is The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. It's the source of my handle and has been a surprisingly malleable point from which to examine life. Other favorites are Crime and Punishment by Dostoevsky, Catch 22 by Heller and Catcher in the Rye by Salinger. What are some of your favorites?

<3 Catch 22 ^^

Any novel written by R.A. Salvatore is gold, in my opinion.

Les Meserables is one of my favorites... what seemed like a chore in HS turned into one of the most enjoyable reads for me, ever. Look for Valjean in game! He loves it too...

The Sword of Truth series is incredible, and I'm only on the 2nd book. Written by Terry Goodkind... Kahlaan is named after one of the protaganists ^^ (And yes, I think I'm seeker material, damnit!)

Travis with the Temper. ^^

My fave book of all time is The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint Exupéry. A very small book but definately one of the best. I really enjoyed The Meloncholy Death of Oyster Boy by Tim Burton, And yeah - I'm one of those Harry Potter fans also. Just finished The Davinchi Code, it was pretty good :)

I haven't started on the Harry Potter's yet...but I plan to soon.

Since I spend most of my time at play rehearsals, I read a lot of scripts. My fav. is Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolfe? by Edward Albee

I also just finished SWERVE by Aisha Tyler - which was actually very funny and inspirational.

I looooooove a good book.

I 100% blame my love of the potter books on Sabs since she MADE me read them . . . not that I regret it at all though . . . I also LOOOOVE HP Lovecraft and Chuck Palahniuk, Survivor is simply amazing.

Hrmmm what else???

Still waiting on the Davinci Code . . . I got bumped in the reading order on that one

Hahaha, Sucker!!!

oOo books!! <3<3<3
Obviously I am a huge fan of Terry Goodkind and his Sword of Truth series... I absolutely love Piers Anthony and have every single book he ever wrote. (thank god for Ebay on the hard to find ones) And yes, I love the Harry Potter series, I don't care if they are kids books, I have them all and they are great! I basically read anything sci-fi or fantasy. While I am not a huge L. Ron Hubbard fan, Battlefield Earth is my fave book of all time. Please I beg of you don't watch the movie, it sucked sucked sucked. Read the book, it's awesome.

Ah yes, Mr. Hubbard.

I read the whole mission earth series as a kid (which is odd, since it's a very adult series.)

I didnt like the BE book, never saw the movie. Just didn't grab me.

I'd also like to add to my list:

William C. Dietz's "Legion of the Damned" series. Awesome Military Sci-Fi.

I have read alot of good books this year

Galax Arena

Eragon by christopher paolini

Seires of unfortunate events <--Lemony Snickett

For all time by caroline b cooney

Seires i'm working on.......

Samurai Girl (im on book 2)

The wolf tower seires by tanith lee (i have read 1 & 3)

I am also working on The Invisible Man

H.p. Locecrafts Short Stories are great ... and my current read (once again) is "Dune" ... Fire and Ice is really Deep, i had a hard time going through part of it. More a Sci-Fi Person myself. ... Oh yeah "Perry Rhodan" is the Ultimate in Sci-Fi ....

I unfortunately don't read enough books. I have read the whole Sword of Truth series (except Naked Empire, have it, just havent read it yet). Even read Terry Goodkind's short story Debt of Bones, really cool insight to the past of the SoT world (Zedd was a young man O.o). I also enjoyed the DOOM book series. First book is Doom: Knee Deep In The Dead. Great if your any kind of DOOM fan, and even if your not its still a good sci-fi read.

Just finished reading Atonement by Ian McEwan, it was extremely good highly reccomended.

Some of my recent favs, The Stranger by Albert Camus and Cats Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut.

My friend has made a nice little acronym for Crime and Punishment, CRAP. Ive never read it personally but i found it humorous.

I'm reading Retun of the Native by Thomas Hardy. Its pretty good so far, unfortunately its for a class which means i have to annotate it which makes victorian literature all the more tedious. I dotn mindreading Victorian lit (really liked Great Expectations) but annotating it can be a real pain in the ass.

Diffrn't strokes for diffrn't folks.

Some of my favorite books: Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings; Margaret Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale; Stephen King's The Stand; Dean Koontz's Watchers; Tim O'Brien's The Things They Carried; Clive Barker's The Great and Secret Show; any Lovecraft anthology.

Favorite series: Harry Potter, Dune, Discworld, Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum novels, Nevada Barr's Anna Pigeon novels, and Tony Hillerman's mysteries.

Honorable mention goes to William W. Johnstone, who churned out hundreds of paperback westerns and horror novels. He's not a great writer by any stretch of the imagination, but I like him.

I adore Douglas Adams and R.A. Salvatore (can't wait for his next one). I think Wonko forget to include House of Leaves by Some guy that I forgot his name. From what he's told me, that's a pretty insane bit of reading
