Notice this doesn't get much response since everyone is guilty of something or another... buying gil, cheating, stealing from someone in game, or doing one of many other shady things... why cant everyone just be a perfect goody good angel like me.

The lovely part of people like you saying 90% won't respond because they cheat is that simply saying I don't doesn't mean shit. I never bought a gil in my life, well, actually I sold someone IRL 5k for 5 bucks when they first started. I'm getting close to ranting not only about people who do cheat, but the people who accuse them of it when they have no proof they don't themselves.
