Brd + Cor = ?

I've been partying with my static cor Alobont and was wonder what other people think of the Brd Cor combo(I'm the brd). Whenever we party we have constant chains without any call for resting. Also, we do a combination of Rogue's Roll/Fighter's Roll + Minuet III and either March or Madrigal. Just looking for some interesting conversation on this.
 
BRD + Cor + RDM + 3 melee (with high DPS like oh.. MNK or WAR) = sex D: that's a simple equation :P
 
I was in a jap party recently with nin x2, bard, whm, cor, and some melee. Non stop fighting. The mobs were down in seconds. Chain 7s in Bibiki Bay. I wasn't running out of MP from hasteing and curing so I started banishing and holying for extra damage (usually doing around 400-500 damage with the B3 and holy combined). It freaking rocked.

Not even close.

BRD + BRD + RDM/WHM + 3 melee outperforms that by far.

BRD + COR + RDM/WHM + 3 melee could probably be comparable.
 
2 BRDs? hehe I still say BRD + COR + RDM/WHM + 3 high DPS melee will out perform everything :P

Yeah, one does minuetx2, and the other does marchx2 or march/madrigal if it's a high evasion mob. One bard takes both ballads, and they both pull.

2 BRDs? you can have 4 buffs i know but not minuet 4 4 3 3 lol like march 1 2 minuet 3 4 and ballad 1 2 but on debuffs only have 1 ; ; and if u r in a good set up no need for god buffs
 
Got my fastest ever mid 50's exp today with that combo
brd, cor, whm, pld, thf and war (me)

22k exp ina bout 2 hrs

Take 3 good war/nins, 2 bards, and a whm or rdm and you can pull close to 20k/hr if there's mobs.

We were pulling the entire south end of Bhaflau thickets next to Mamool Ja Staging point including one of the wyverns.

Try it, it works better. There are other songs than minuet and ballad, use them.

take 2 nins 2 wars 1 whm 1 brd and hit 32k in caemire at 4am PST

You need at least one WAR in there to pimp out Warrior's Roll to it's fullest, and a THF for Rogue's Roll is damn sexy too.

That's the catch, you need mobs high enough to exp on, to be in an outdoor area for fast repops, and in a ToAU area for the 15% bonus. That narrows it down to the overcrowded camps where you have parties running around for 2 minutes between mobs then voke claiming a sea puk for 60 exp.
 
what does rogue's roll do again? increase accuracy?

Caederva Mire is too weak to pull 32k/hr. The mobs don't give enough xp to pull those kinds of numbers.
 
Rogue's Roll is Crit Hit rate, and thf does nice damage in mire.

And LOL at 32k/hr in Mire at 4am PST (aka 9pm JP time) Yeah, I wouldn't expect to find more than, oh, 8 merit parties in mire at that time.
 
My last party with cor friend was brd, cor, war/nin, war/nin, nin, whm and we were killing Helm beetles when we were on the low end of being able to party there. Besides this we were getting chain 4-5 without the rest period between chains. I usually prefer a thf, war, and nin as my melee. This greatly increases Rogue and Fighter's rolls. Last night with two warriors in the party double-attack was happening almost every hit, and all melee were dual-wielding so even better.

PS. for some fun I was able to double-attack as a brd for first time ^_^

32k exp/hour?

I'd like to see anyone go past 15. 7k/hour is a shitload. 32k? Impossible.

You can't have exp ring on with the Expwatch.dll plugin or it screws it up. Even if you did though, I don't think there's any way you could get even close to half of that an hour.

Seriously... you got 7 merit points in 2 hours?
