BRD + RDM duo

Okay well most of ya know I basically quit Rdm. Sold my int/mnd gear and a good deal of misc stuff.. but I kept my Melee cause it's the only job high enough to beat on mobs aside Whm.. which is boring.

Well a Brd friend<3 wants me to duo with her now often as she knows how I loathe exp pt's.

My curiosities:
DD food/gear or eva food/gear or def food/gear?
Sub Whm, Blm, or War?
Where should we go and to pick on what?

She is 67Brd/Whm, I am 66Rdm/???.
I just want a good time.. I'm not lookin for great exp per hour. My PERSONAL pref's have been +atk +str and sub war for Defender and Provoke(just in case).. but I'm not experienced in actually exping like this.

Any help is appreciated~
 
Iv never been in this kind of duo before. But I would assume you should just sub WHM as well so that you both have access to -na spells. If one of you gets silenced or slept, it could mean big trouble for both of you. But if both of you have Silencera or Sleepna, you have a better chance.

lolSleepna, I'd laugh if a newbie whms ever asked where to get a sleepna scroll from.

I say go for it. Maybe try different combos each time you go out to see which works best, and I'm sure you'd want to go anywhere the mobs would check EM-T for you guys. You may need a bit of def gear/food too as well as your DD gear.

Good luck with this duo, sounds like it'd be fun, and if you both have a NPC, take those out too, it'd be a great way to lvl them up.
 
God its so late. I mean Barsleepra. God.....wow....please somebody backhand me next time I do something like that....

windy, why dont u just try it out and see. theres no need to post every two seconds about what u should or shouldnt do.

Because perhaps I want an enjoyable experience with decent results? When people have a curiousity they should turn to others with experience.
 
A BRD/RDM duo works great for lesser NM, some pop fights, or fighting your way through an area, however it would wholly suck for a duo exp team. There's no possible way to do enough damage to even net below average figures in any reasonable amount of time.

If she's your friend then it should be enjoyable tryin to figure out if it works or not. Im not saying never ask a question here again, but i am saying do some research for yourself occasionally.

Yes but generally being basically a bot drives me insane. We figured we will just duo DC mobs and skill up ... a lot :P
 
If you're looking for a good area to solo at those levels, try The Crawler's Nest. My friend and I duo'd ourselves from 62-63 (he NIN and I WAR though) in about 3 days. but I'm sure you can take soldier crawlers easily, not to mention shrooms and beetles.. just dont try rumble or helm beetles XD

I can solo Helms or Rumbles ^^; but we are looking more for speed + fun.. I dont mind 30-40exp/kill as long as it's with my brd. :3

We did Kuftal, since Robbers are DC and I can solo them slowly.. I tanked Rdm//War and skilled Dagger from 130-156 >.> and got my NPC to 52^^ a Haunt raped us but it was fun. :P thanks for the feedback from those that posted

I wouldn't recommend crab due to what you've already mentioned-- slow kills.

Crawlers would most likely be right up your alley. I love soft mobs. One thing that you might want to consider is finding a third person to join your team. Nin, sam, mnk, war, etc. You have enough support to make them all the more stronger of a DD/tank support to bring you above and beyond even DC. Delvl a few levels and we can chain the hell out of colabri. :P j/k

What job and level? :x I can skill up as I wait <.<
 
60Nin, but don't wait on me. I need to get up about 10 more mil to be able to progress further in the party scene and a few choice pieces like sallet, etc.
