Brenner Info - Do you have it?

Brenner looks to be a game in a special area (Diorama Abdhaljs-Purgonorgo Isle) that is similar, but not identical to Diorama. I have very, very little information on this, and would like to find out what it's about, how one can particpate, etc. I've seen some info to the effect that there may be a minimum threshold entry requirement based on mercenary rank - but I have no confirmation.

Anyone know anything about Brenner that they can share?
Anyone know if there's a website or other source where Brenner info is collected?

Brenner has nothing to do with Mercenary ranks or anything like that, it was around before ToAU. It's basically a PvP game that's very much like capture the flag, I always enjoyed it, but there isn't much interest in it these days it seems.

Gatttsu pretty much summed it up. Basically you form two teams. You start on opposite sides, and the objective is to defend your brenners, but at the same time to take down the opposite team's brenner and steal the flame that's inside.

Its a lot of fun, especially when you have lots of members. The only downside is that each brenner will have little round flying things (I forget the name) that cast magic on you if you are on the opposing team and you get close to the brenner. Usually the best method is to take these out first and then attack the brenner (get the HP to 0) and then steal the flame. You then have to run to your side of the arena, and put the flame in one of your empty brenner's to obtain a point.

You get points for defending your brenner, and for stealing a flame. At the end, the team with the most points wins.

You get to use items, and you can also use a move (forget the name of it) where you can scavenge for items and sometimes get petras which you can trade into an NPC during the match who will restore your HP and MP I believe.

I've done brenner a few times as a LS event. Its a great way to enjoy yourselves and take a break from some of the grinds in this game. A lot of the time we just goof off though and don't exactly focus on capturing the opposing team's flame, we just have fun teaming up and taking down the other team members, haha.

I was introduced to Brenner by an ls friend who got me hooked on it, we shortly after became the gurus of the game(he wrote the guide to brenner on that page), if you're ever looking for a guest to join in on some matches, I'm game anytime I'm available.
 
Count me in also. i use to toss it up with Gatttsu back in the day. When it first released it was popular but now its hardly ever plaied. Was good stuff.
 
If you join an official match you'll get xp for participating in Brenner. Usually about 300 xp per match if I remember right. I think the official matches are held twice a day, and have a varying level cap. You can find out when the next official match will be held by talking to the NPC in Upper Jeuno.
 
Brenner has been around since last Feb or Apr or something lol. Back when they added in the new drg 2 hr and some other stuff. I remember playing it when it was first around, it was popular for a short time only though.

Now I don't even think anyone goes to it anymore. I tried it a couple times, it seemed quite weird, but almost like Ballista.
 
Brenner is pretty fun, like zerayla said we have done some LS matches.

Pretty cool. Funny thing about the second screen is that it was a 60 cap but i think there were only like 3 or 4 of us close to 60 (out of like 10 or 15 people) good time lol.

Gatttsu, Zerayla, Alobont, Fellina and others, sometime soon (maybe over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend) my shell might try this as a fun linkshell event. If we did that, would you be interested in acting as guides, strategists, etc.?

I like Brenner a lot more, since it actually requires some form of strategy besides "omfg gank for gate breach lol"
