:?: OK all... here it is, I just have one question. Why in the world would yoou want to be a PLD and not know how to Provoke properly? I was in a party yesterday with a PLD how was broken. When the pt. started we were all lvl 11 in the Dunes... which should speak volumes in it self but we all gotta go there. :roll: So here was the party setup. Whm...Rdm.... Blm <me>.... Rng..War... and Pld <BROKEN>!! His name is Goldenpheonix (and yes he spelled it that way). He managed to get everyone in the pt killed atleast once. Simply 1 because he didnt provoke the mob once it got to camp. So the rng or the mages would wind up tanking half the battle. You might say well you did have a war to... Yes we did but he was a NOOB!! He seemed to only provoke after the PLD would. The sad thing was that the PLD was the leader of the pt and so we couldn't kick him and we couldnt leave because of the lack of tanks in the area at the time. Every fight would start the same way with the 3 mages yelling at Golden to provoke. It got so bad we 3 mages decided not to start casting magic until he voked... which save us mp and I think sent a message to the Broken PLD. This posting is here just to let people know to stay away from Goldenpheonix!! If you pt with him you will die.

Welcome to QCDN, etc etc etc.

But you did, in fact, just answer your own question.

The dunes are a magnet that suck the skill out of every player. No one here can say with any degree of truth that they've never been a complete noob in Valkurm.

Just look at your TNL, praise your deity of choice that there isn't an extra zero appended to it, grit your teeth, and plow through.
 
omg it reminds me of a Nin tank recently when i was in Gustav Tunnel... at lvl 56!!! The dumbass wouldnt voke for shit and i constantly got hate for the littlest things... the Shock/Burn/Choke actyually got me hate 1 minuet into the battle at camp!!! wtf i mean SEROULSY... SHOCK BURN AND CHOKE for crying out loud.
 
So... that makes this... Valkurm Horror Story #6548? Or is it more than that?

Valkurm = Hell. But unfortunately, it's the ones whose minds never leave Valkurm that are the true horror stories. *points at Rorschach's post*
 
i was in that pt i made it :( i left right after first battle when i died right away -.- becuz he didnt voke right away -.- why play a job if your not gonna do what there made to do -.-
 
Ya know...I actually like leveling in the dunes. Call me crazy...but sometimes having all the pressure gone to be the best, or be badass, and have your job down right is rather nice. Not very often you can just relax ya know...
 
The good news is, they might figure out how to do their jobs. They have a looonnngggggg time to figure it out.

Just pity the pt's between here and there.
 
in all out honestly, it's acceptable if some ppl with no subjob and on a starting job not to know what to do. BUT If one is playing an advance job, they should have a general ideal of what the hell to do. Then again, most people are still learning what to do at such lvls with any job.
 
I PTed with this guy a few days ago, and yes he is one of the worst PLD I've ever seen. The rest of the PT and myself were telling him to voke and he would say "Don't tell me when to voke". I died 3 times trying to keep the mages alive before we all disbanded and started a new PT.

All in all he's an idiot. Stay away from him!!

hmmm those three kings are called magi in catholic mythology, which is the correct plural of mage XD.

well, he IS a PLD, which means he had to have at least one job up to lvl 30, obviously not WAR but he would have HAD to at least SEEN a tank tank before. Bet he didn't heal himself any either XD. Did he lvl in that pt? Was his WAR sub gimped to lvl 5 XD? How could a PLD not know that you're supposed to voke right off hte pull? It's not as if there's any other role a PLD can play in a pt. Did you suggest that he do it? I mean, sure there are a BUNCH of people out there that words come out of your head and pass right by them but if you DIDN'T the blame falls partially on you as well as him. Not that i'm accusing your for his stupidity or anything, he SHOULD have known better.
