So after having many, many camps for exp either slowed waaay down or cancelled out due to parties being very inconsiderate and just setting up camp over someone that is obviously xping, I finally had a positive encounter with a party running up on Chocobos to set camp.

After some cautious /say comments about the other camps being taken and that I had been pulling decent xp. I stated that I would move if they really wanted me to.

Their response was "Naw, we will move on and GL". This also after explaining why I was pulling some pets off and releasing them, obviously they had limited experience with the job.

In honor of them, I wanted to start a list of players that we could refer to as "BST Friendly"

You know I was thinking about this over the last couple of weeks. Ever since I've been at the Red Kisser -> Colibri camp it the 'Thickets I've had some strange encounters. I've met the light and dark side of the BST community as well as some of the nicest party people to date. Glad to hear about your good experience.

The Thickets camp has certainly brought out the worst in BSTs, who were generally friendly to each other, or at least respectful, before ToAU. I used to hear it all the time when I was more plugged into the BST community, along with stories about Puk camps in the Woodlands. When we were there Halifirien and I generally had no problems aside from some /BSTs and some anon BSTs from time to time. (Note: BSTs who level anon are complete scum.) We were lucky for the most part while leveling up, with the only real confrontations having happened in the Crawler's Nest and Bibiki Bay, though the Bibiki thing was fairly light since the party's leader was cool with us being around; he simply couldn't keep a muzzle on his puller.

Yep... there are both rude and nice PTs, and rude and nice BSTs. If a BST is already in a camp, I try to make sure my PT does not try to camp on top of them, though admittedly it doesn't happen often. Once recently, I joined a PT near the zone to Halvung in the Thickets (I was a replacement for someone; they'd been there awhile), and they were pulling only Date Erucas, while a BST was right nearby using colibris vs. colibris, even though I know I've seen both PTs and BSTs using both. It was nice to see, especially in ToAU.

And yes, I've noticed ToAU bringing out the worst in BSTs too. Not only have I seen BSTs competing with each other now, but several times now I've been in a PT on my BLU, doing well, and a BST will come camp right on top of us, using the mobs we were fighting as both pets and prey, slowing our exp down a ton. It's pretty crazy... I'd never seen BSTs inconsiderate like that before ToAU. :/

ToAU is crazy as a BST. I tried to only go there when I had to really.
