hey can someone who has beaten the solo enm at oldven moldblopadop or whatever its called as beastmaster tell me the strategey for it.

id really appreciate it. thx~

Saber usually works best for this, since Roar almost never fails at paralyzing the mannequin. Melee Pet. Melee Fantoccini until it summons again, Rampage second pet. Melee Fantoccini until you get TP, then Rampage him. It should be over, or nearly over at that point. If Saber has a lot of HP left, and really, he should, I just ignore the third pet it summons. Since you're a Taru, I'd recommend 2 or 3 Hi-Potions just incase. I've had a lot of near calls on this without meds as a hume. Never had used Reward either, but it might be handy to bring a few Epsilons or Zeta's if you're really in it for a win.

If it summons a Funguar, you're in for a disasterous fight. Noithing else to say about that. Lizard and Sheep go down quick. Crab can be a headache if he uses Sic and it does Scissor Guard, but not really violent. Always have Saber attacking the mannequin. If he happens to change toward the pet for some reason, which can happen when he summons it and it hits Saber, just put him back on the mannequin. You're there basically to clean up pets until the mannequin is under 50% or there happens to be no pet to fight at the time. Aside from Funguar/Awful Dice Rolls, this is a pretty easy fight with Beastmaster.

My very few losses from this are mostly because of Funguars, and having my PC lock up once.

What skaw said, I loss this particular week due to the mannequin recovering almost 3000 in HP. It outlasted me eventually. But generally it's a quick fight. I always use reward at least once, for some reason I get some unlucky rolls where the mannequin will weaponskill my pet.

The ring that it drops seems useless, as good as it sounds. I equipped it first time and used it. Unequipped ring after, enchantment was gone. Later on I just kept the ring on, the enchantment didn't even last that long. Kinda like a wasted slot. I NPCed the ring everytime I get it, for a little gil. (700?)

The Solution

You put on a blindfold in RL, and chant "more soup."

This kinda goes without saying, but no matter what else happens, don't let your pet anywhere near the Moblin! If you get an AOE from Sic, that guy will wade in and destroy you.

On my post where I explained I KNEW I was going to lose, I thought, fuck it, and went for the moblin. Strangely enough, it didn't attack back. I put both me and the pet on the moblin. A lot of my hits missed, and it had extremely high HP and defense. I died shortly because the mannequin was beating on me.

I can confirm that any AOE won't make the moblin wade in to destroy you. But because I knew I was going to lose that time, I just went and tried to destroy the moblin for fun/experiment. I've hit it with Roar/Claw Cyclone before. It didn't fight back.

Amazing o.0

First time I did this waaaaaaaay back in the early days of CoP, he made me look like a litle girlyman. I assumed it was still the same way.

I wrote this long ago for alla. Use to do this once a week but stopped for some unknown reason. This was just my way… there are many other ways to try this.

Many posts on this but I didn’t want to dig them all up so I’ll just start up how I do it.

I kinda go expensive for this ENM but I haven’t had a failure ever with this method. Usually I go with:

Icuras wing
4 hi-potions
Two Fungars
Pet food Zeta
Blink Band
Food of choice.

In bastok I set my sub the blm (if you have it lvl’d enough for warp) Your sub is taken away for the fight so /whm /nin does absolutely nothing for the fight.

Once inside:
1. “Call Beast”
2. Use food
3. Rest a bit to let the timer on call beast get to about 1-2 minutes
4. use blink band
5. eat the wing

Pit your pet against Fettuccini (not his real name) When he calls his pet have yourself attack it. Rampage his pet right away. More than likely that will almost destroy it. Once his pet is dead attack Fettuccini. At this point use reward on your pet.

By time the Fettuccini calls his next pet you’ll have gathered some good TP from bashing on him. Use rampage on his next pet. After his pet is dead you may want to use those hi-potions… your call really. Sometimes the potions just aren’t needed.

Usually by his third pet Fettuccini will be close to death… and so will your fungar. If you think you can get away with it save your last Rampage for Fettuccini. Even if he calls another pet one good rampage could end the match in a good way for you. It’s just a matter of weighing if your pet can stay alive long enough.

If you feel Fettuccini has too much life left get ready to call another fungar. Rampage his third pet as usual. Hopefully you’ll be able get rid of his pet before your pet is dead as it’s a hell of a lot better to have just one mob hitting you.

Your fungar should take hate fairly quick. If your low on life use the hi-potions or kite Fettuccini around the arena until your fungar has hate.

That should be it. I’ve never seen a battle last much longer than his third pet. No record breakers here but it’s the safest way I have found to do this ENM

The only way the moblin attacks in the BST version, is if he is directly targeted. SE actually thought ahead of time(for once) and realized Call Beasts all have some kind of multitarget attack. However, Paralyze from Roar won't prevent him from rolling dice :P
