bushido cape

Actually, it's a lot more probable to triple attack on a 3 hit Ridill swing than it is on 2-Hit Joyeuse with a Brutal Earring, genius. If it were possible, that is.

Assuming you're a THF, and not using something that gives a fraction of TA.
Have a thf use a justice and you will see.

Brynie has more +ATK than a Hauby.
Swordbelt +1 is a pretty kickass ATK+ belt.
There really isn't much in the way of ATK in neck pieces over +5, but there are alot of things for skill increases that could add to your base attack.
Just the STR+ rings.

I think that you missed my point though, or just like to write shit that doesn't even relate to what I said so you can show your Allaknowledge off. Or maybe you are just too fucking stupid to understand things not comfirmed by the people that give you the model to parrot off of.

Cant you just give it up and listen to the people who knows better.
Or atleast keep your foolish thoughts to yourself.
There's a reason people use hauby over byrnie like 99% of the time, if you have some brains, and it's not cuz our moms told us so...

Oh, and about the Joytoy+brutal idiocy.
I've been war75 for about 1½ years, with capped DA merits, I've had brutal for I dont know how long and the same with the joytoy.
IF DA could proc along with Joy's 2 hits, dont you think it would have atleast have happened to me once during the 300gazillion mobs I have killed?
Yes, it would have, over and over.
But, since it is not possible, it has never happened.

And DA doesn't proc on multi-hit weapons. It. Doesn't.
My understanding is that it doesn't proc when the multiple hits on the weapon proc; you can't double attack any of the 3 swings when a ridill fires 3 swings, but double attack job trait will increase the amount of swings you get in.

The only parses I've seen anyone post suggested that Ridill is Triple attack +33%, double attack +50%, with triple attack taking priority and them not stacking. (50% of the remaining 2/3 of the attacks that don't triple attack means 1/3 double attacks)

Jailer weapons don't work the same way as other multi-hit weapons, double attack can proc on their multihits, you can get more than 2 hits from a single round with one.

Then why? I would love to hear your reasoning behind gear choices you make. Or do you even make the choices? Maybe you just do what others tell you to do because yuo don't even know.

Supposedly someone who actually took the time to test it declared that the Zanshin job trait is 20% proc rate. I think it was on BG forums several months ago, before the SAM buff update. Whether or not this is true i cannot say for certain, but it seems so to my scientific eyeballing.

robottism, they have not even tryed the cape and there passing judgement. If you notice by there gear they are acc hors. Also just because there gear setup is there choice does not mean other setup will not work. this is even more so because they using sushi on top all that acc gear. Yet they live in this only 1 way to do it mantality. Also you defend them but they do not even attept to try it so who not lisioning? Stop living in you parse roboted world and try things.

First off I dont parse.

And second of all, who needs a parser when there is math.
Cuz that's what it comes down to in this case.

So go back to school, you might learn something.

actually the parse part was not direct at you or anyone in particular. Considering that there more then 2-3 people who have stated that they like there cape i would not call that math. There are situation to everything. That cape can be half way decent cape if the zanshin effect is even 10-15%. Which is math. Yet you can't solve a problem if you don't even try it, which they have not.

No, the cape modifies Zanshin by +1%.

Let's say, for the sake of example, Zanshin is indeed 20% and we'll use clean math. Every 100 misses, 20 will have zanshin kick in(which has it's own hit/miss check as well.)

Now, you put in Bushido. Every 100 Misses, 21 swings will have it kick in. Now. Are you going to be wearring something that only works on misses and adds a miniscule chance, or something that always works on connected hits? Even your regular 20% Zanshin benefits more from a Amemet/+1/Foragers more than Bushido.

If you think 10-15 Attack won't modify your damage that much, then don't expect to be invited in to parties. At 85/95% Accuracy, Typical exp PT accuracy with meat/sushi, your one(5% misses) to three(15% misses) zanshin hits per one hundred Swings isn't going to outweigh the damage increase from an Attack based cape. Especially since those Zanshin swings won't have as much attack behind them either.

Now, remember, this is just normal clean math. Probability doesn't work so nicely. You'll get more sometimes, you'll get less others.

Amemet+1 for TP build increases your total DoT (assuming already using it for ws) by roughly 2-3%. For you to get 2% more DoT from zanshin at a 10% proc rate you have to have less than 75% accuracy, at 15% proc rate under 85% accuracy. If your accuracy is that low you need to rework your gear, food choice, and/or the mobs you are fighting. 85% is the bare minimum for melee accuracy in exp.

Of course, bushido cape doesn't give anything close to 10-15% zanshin.

chilvalrous chain and Potent Belt are better loss 7 acc but gain 6 str.

What the hell can you possibly be talking about, may I ask?

Why don't you just keep all that bullshit in the flameboard and out of General FFXI Discussion?

Ok, as crazy as this sounds... Hellstorm was half-right about Joy/Justice.

Sea weapons are unique multihits. You can double/triple-attack off of them, meaning Faith Baghs can technically do 7 hits a round (hit multi double hit multi double kick). But, they're unique. They're the only multihit weapons that can do that. Everything else, Joy, Kracken, Soboro, Ridill, Mercurial, is incapable of multi and double/triple.

As for the Zanshin thing, I covered it way back in the thread. Whatever Zanshin's total proc rate is (it's quite decent), that item is still only 1-5% (conflicting reports, being generous and assuming the 5% guy wasn't pulling it out his ass), and 1-5% is still worthless compared to Amemet +1.

We don't WS in Zanshin gear to make sure it hits, because the chances of missing are so ridiculously low with non-craptastic gear. Same goes for melee.

Just a question, why might one see 4 swings (and tp gain) with a Mercurial G.Sword as a PLD/WAR? I noticed it happening once in a blue moon when skilling up GSD. Now GSD has a huge delay so it wouldn't be a factor of lag, and my fps were steady at full. Just curious is all. Not defending any ideas that go against the multi-hit and DA/TA procs, but it was something I observed.

That's a known issue. It's just the mercurial sword. They probably configured it wrong, or they wrote the description wrong.
