I'm pretty fed up with those who refuse to buy or just don't have a clue that they need to buy potions when large groups are trying to move through a dungeon to do a certain task. (I.E. going to fight Shadowlord, etc.)

Why is it when you have a large group of people, perhaps two or three group alliances of level 55-65 people, and NOT ONE person decides they need to bring potions with them to get through a dungeon.

For god sakes with 18 people running through a dungeon you are not keeping sneak/invis on everyone. Not to mention these same morons take off halfway through the dungeon and their invis wears off. They have no way of getting invis and they end up dying, or better yet bringing a massive train to the party.

From now on if I get invited some type of alliance thing and sneak/invis is going to be needed I'll be damn sure to ask if everyone plans on using potions or I won't waste my time anymore with these fools.

i know how that is. its happened to me a lot of times. i kind of felt stupid when i went after my af2. i forgot my sneak/invis potions in my moghouse and was stranded in eldieme :) luckily, a nice pld named teng helped me out and i got my af2. but a more positive story is when i helped about a dozern people get rank 4. we ran through delkfutt tower killing everything in sight because we didn't want to sneak/invis everyone all the way up. it was fun

Derriz, I'm nowhere near your point in the game, however...

I ALWAYS have a stack of each Sneak/Invis potions on me... lets me get to parties quicker for EXP, lets me solo a lot of quests/missions, and hell, I like being self-reliant. It should cost about 10-12k for a stack of each, combined. Not like it's breaking the bank, people

Breaking the bank!? That's a lot! i am poor bastard if that is just pocket change!
Then i am kind of glad i am a RDM, dont have to use potions to sneak and invis....and sometimes deodorize...lol....

I recomend always having it.. even in exp PT's i never expect the mages to cast on me.. i just use my oil and go on.. I think i learned the hard way back in crawler's nest when the PT died cause of me.. i had gotten sneak and invis and i tried to run to the rumbler camp... i didnt make it and the PT died... one of the JP members msg'd me telling me i shuld carry around oils and powder.. ever since then i have, and it also looks a lot better when your prepared rather than depending on the mage for sneak and invis.

I learned the hard way to always have some sneak/inv potion on me in khazam. As a warrior, returning from Yoahtor to khazam whitout them = certain death ... ;)

Way back, as a lvl 30 mnk, I did mission 3/3 for Sandy (pretty sure its the same for all 3 but just using specifics). It was me, Ultraseven 37pld, Naveronasis (everyone's favorite person, lvl 45 blm at the time), and a guy I cant remember but he was a lvl 75 JP bard. I had a stack of sneak and invis potions to get me there b/c I knew i'd get aggroed all the way through the tower. We avoided aggro for a good long way but then i get aggroed by a smithy and ultraseven and I engage it. All of the sudden the brd starts casting Horde Lullaby and I just kinda thought "o shit". So he ended up sleeping everything that aggroed in the tower and training it all the the tele-point. There was a train of somewhere around 35 lvl 30+ mobs following us, and the bard ended up dying in Middle Delkfutt's Tower. I'm sorry so off topic, but the sneak/invis thing just reminded me of this lovely experience.

Sneak/invis medicines cost like 30k for a stack of each now =/

I don't mind sneaking and invisible-ing up to 3 people, including myself, to camp. In an EXP pt...

But then again Sneak Oil lasts so much longer than random Sneak.

This thread is also over a year old.
