Buying a ps3 today, need game suggestions.

VFighter is hardest Fighting game to play fire not easy;; thats why no one likes it;; except its few fans which like the fact their younger relatives cant jump on the game with you and win their first match lol. VF not top fighting game lol, i think people enjoy DoA waaay more, yes button mashers can win... again the majority of gamers are not pros.

for the OP, when i went out for PS3 i also picked up Resistance and Motorstorm. Mainly because i have 360 and most the games multiplat are better there atm. VF bored the hell outa me with no online so blockbuster got it back lol. Resistance has some flaws but is pretty cool game and for sure the "i must have" title. Motorstorm is fun for a while but many reasons kill it so fast. i would say wait wait wait like i am, along with many others lol. some great games are coming eventually.
 
I have yet to get Resistance.
I got Gundam Musou, Virtual Tennis, Armored Core and Motorstorm.
Playing Motorstorm online is just hillarious.
Gundam Musou is pretty funny due to the paradies....

Seriously though people... get Gripshift. I put my seal of approval behind it. If 4 of us get it we can all play online together and it'd play a lot like Mariokart 64 would if it was online.

Edit: What's gripshift like? and I've not really done much with the Network.. what's it like? lol (Most I did was play Resistance a bit online and browse the PLAYSTATION store).

Bought it. guess how much?

60 gig - $370 dollars, bitches. I traded in so much stuff I thought the receipt would never stop printing.

Then, I went to my favorite independent game store and bought both Resistance and Virtua Fighter for just $75. The Korean guy who runs it loves me and gave me a bitchin' discount.

Hah, I didn't get that great a deal but nice :P Price isn't bad anyways.. hope we can all find each other on Resistance or something

Someone mentioned Oblivion earlier... I didn't even know it was out for the playstation 3 >.>

Either way I played that game- my reviews would be poor-average at best. Loading screens killed that game as you have to pause for a map to load every 15-20 paces. I watched it ruin his xbox360 lol (seriusly, he had to return 2 of them). Steer clear man
 
It barely loads for me on PS3... when it says "loading area" I don't even really feel any lag or anything, I just keep running and playing fine.

Edit: I wonder, why hasn't Anttaru or Firestreak or anyone set up a buddy thingy thread for the online stuff (kinda like the Nintendo section has). *shrugs* ahh well.. I'd do it myself but I know nothing about the online stuff yet XD (still have to set it up, I used a friend's system when I logged on Resistance).

It doesn't have the loading time issue on PS3. And I've never heard of any PS3s getting fried.(I keep mine on constantly.)


As for Gundam... you can import it and playasia.com. All PS3 games are region free so it's fine.
 
LAIR's supposed to be out in June I thought.. or July?

I was up Gamestop today and checked the PS3 releases and it had LAIR due July 31, so here's hoping.
 
Just wanted to say Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2 is a sick fighter, made me like DBZ all over again. After getting use to it, it feels more like a fast paced RPG that tests the reflexes. Good action and it has a sick cell shade.

My brother has it on Wii and i have it on PS2. It's exactly the same on boath consoles, so its a good rent or buy if you have a PS3. Personally i suck at Wii mote so i perfer controller.
 
Budokai 3 is better than both Tenkachi games. I HATE fighers with 3rd person camera.
