Last night, I was invited to a party with (Klank, Cix, and three others I forgot the name of). Cape Terrigan was beyond packed. We had two 56s so Valley of Sorrows was out of the question. So they decide, well, Crabs by the zone would be a great idea, they still con T-VT and such, so if we just pull the VT ones and constantly chain, it'd be awesome exp!
(After about 1h of planning and debating, they finally decided upon this.)

Wrong.
Our tank was 58. The level where Kuftal Tunnel exp = slim to none. Everything conned T to him. So what'd the majority of the party vote? Stay there, and chain crabs. Totalling a mighty 1200xp/h (I can solo 1200xp in ~30 on a BAD run..)

Anyways, at one point, I goto pull, and of course, because of the feverish killing we've done, not just one pop-agros, but TWO pop-agro. I have Garuda out to drag the mob back, but two others were wailing on me and I wouldn't make it to zone so I hadto 2h..I do so, all the crabs get hit fer a capped 911, yay....then as I'm running to zone I accidently hit R3. I see my character kneel to rest. My R drops to 0. 92%. And it drops. And drops. and it goes down to about 40% before it un-lags.

And I'm dead. My party's asking what I'm doing. I don't really have any reasonable explanation as to how that crap happened, but since I just lost exp to the point where I'd only gained 200 in 3h, I figured it was time for me to disband, and leave them to their stupid "Exp Chain 4! 92exp" party. And thus I did.

I know, it's absolutely my own fault for dying, it's my own fault for even STAYING, or trying to pull. But this isn't a self-flame, because really, I hafto point out two things. ^^

Cix, you had full MP. would it have kill you to toss a Sleepga on the enemies, or cure on me?
Same goes to the PLD, who had almost full MP. If he was that worried about death he coulda hit his 2h.
And the BLM, who also didn't try to Sleepga. Thank you.

Long story short, I made a stupid move, and half my party, whom could've EASILY done something about it, did nothing. Thanks, really.

And Klank, if you read this...the RDM hadto go in what, two minutes after I HP'ed? Sorry, but while you can call me the "cause for breaking the party", it would've broken in a good two minutes anyhow, so stop trying to act like I'm some big f-!king party crasher.

I usualy give a party 1 hour, then if its bad I get a rep, telling the rep how bad it is, if none is available, I just say sorry guys I'm leaving, whos comming with me? Most the time the leader/leaders friends bash me, but the rest of the party is so fed up at that point that no one wants to stay at all.

Sad to say, while 1/2 the party didn't seem to care, Cix made a relatively big deal about it.

The one who made the biggest deal by far was Klank, whom is my bf..

He's totally pissed because he was having "so much fun" and I "completely ruined it" (again, he's pinning this 100% on me, even though the RDM hadto go almost right after I HP'ed and disbanded, so the party was gonna break at that moment ANYWAYS). Even had a big arguement over how we should never party again if I'm gonna do stuff like that (you know, the whole disbanding from garbage parties)

And I think it's weird that he's finding mass-murderering crap that gives little-to-no exp to be such fun, but he won't go out of his way to farm when it's more or less the exact same thing, but it actually yields something positive. Right. -.-;

Where's that old "make your own NM/HNM" topic? Take a guess as to why I named my HNM Scapegoat and made it a Mithra SMN.

Ish its so easy to play the point and blame game. :roll: Fact is, people always say, "If you dont like it, leave the PT then!" But no one ever does it. As far as I know I am one of the few that did leave pts if they were shitty or if there was no fun factor.

As an example; had a pt in Valley of Sorrows. Jp thf/nin/whm the rest NA, so there is some language barriers in place. NIN was very funny in auto translator, and spoke a little english, same goes for the theif. We werent getting good exp, but we camped next to gil sellers, so everyone, even the jp, messed with them. The only reason I stayed in that pt was because we were having so much fun messing with the gil sellers, no one cared that we got poor exp.

Point is, there are exceptions to poor parties, and the fun factor plays a big role in it. Klank might have been having fun, although I do not know how or why. That is why it is easy to pin it on you.
