Call of Duty 4 official thread

Seriously, the game is already turnin' into a piece of shit because they don't maintain the servers worth a damn. I use to enjoy the fact that when you shot someone they died in CoD4 but now it's a craps toss almost halfway as bad as Gears.

Servers have been real bad for the last month... Earlier then that i was on a CoD4 vacation so i dont know.

I kinda wish the servers would be somewhat matched up with local players. North america, europe all having access to their own so the lag isn't such a buttrape.

TheOsyris, that's cool. Can do, however we're not experienced TD clan battlers quite yet. S & D has been our main focus with 90% of our clan, however like I said we're going to branch in TD.

We had 3 clan battles yesterday. Won all three, 4-0 & 4-0 second battle same outcome, third was close AND we allowed the opposing team to play with 3 ineligible members >.> won't do that again.

We wouldnt consider it a serious clan battle honestly. The clan is just a bunch of friends who happen to be great as FPS', we dont get into clan rankings and what not lol... No time for it anyways.

Our relaxed attitude about clan battles would be great introduction for you guys into TD matches. I have no idea of your skill level so i am not sure if its a spider to the fly situation..

I would think even if it is and you guys struggle for a while with us, it would create an environment were your clan would improve rapidly in TD matches. Hell maybe you show us we are blowing ourselves out of proportion.

We were asked long ago to help a clan in this fashion, i was lazy and never got back to the person... It never went down from there. Maybe this one will work out. We could use some organized battles to be honest...
 
Yeah sounds good, you may get raped.. who knows. I'm very confident in saying we have some fantastic players this much I know. Just haven't done the "clan match" side of TD.. yeah. But I'mma add you, I think my friends list is full, but it's in need of some cleaning yet again.. that is again if you don't mind.

I will jump on live today and see whos on and what we can gather up. I am sure at some point 5-6 of us will read this very post and try to make it on tonight. No exact time needed as we would just be running through matches for several hours. In the event the whole clan comes on... I am in this match lol... I dont want to hear the "Full" BS lol...
 
I will probably be on Madden most of the night tonight but I would be willing to hop over for a bit for this.

lol well I'm on practically every night since I put FFXI on hold, and 90 - 100 % of my clan members will be on FOR SURE.

I have added you already Osyris so I shall see you pop on, I may be "appearing offline" if I have been doing clan battles but I'll see ya.

I played on PC since release this year and recently got it for PS3 and I have to ask, is the online community even existant for anything other than the 360?

I haven't really tried the PS3's online yet but PC is abysmal. I don't even have a 360, so it's not like I can just play there.

I would think there is still a large group of people playing CoD4 until Resistance 2 comes out for PS3.

CoD5 is coming out around the same time, too.

Going to be a good winter for FPS.

I think CoD5 is going to be a step back, I can also bet a HUGE majority of the CoD4 players after trying the new release will go back to playing CoD4.

There will be less weapon choices (less perks), and the ever so unchanging WWII story line... blah.
 
CoD5 is also done by Treyfail so it most likely wont be anywhere near as own as CoD4. I guess we'll have to wait and see though.

A lot of people prefer Treyarch and the CoD3 multiplayer. Both games will probably be populated nicely. Hell, there are still games up all the damn time for CoD3. I prefer Treyarch's mutliplayer and multiplayer achievments but they really haven't done well making campaigns. I'll probably pass on it and snag the new, and hopefully badass, Goldeneye Treyarch is doin' on the CoD4 engine to be honest though.
