This week, Bastok somehow took over the Sarutabaruta region. Yes, that's right, Bastok controls what's right outside our front door.

What are we going to do about this?

Revenge. We WILL take over Gustaberg!

So, calling every single Windurstian: go to Bastok, switch to a lowbie job, and kill everything that moves. Buy or craft some low-level equipment and give it to the outpost guards for even more points. Do everything you can to take over Gustaberg. We WILL have our revenge!

You're fucking kidding, right?

Ha...ha... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YEAH!!!!

Time for my Bastokan Elvaan ass to make a little "Outpost Run".

That's why I love being Bastokan. Originally we weren't claiming any areas until Spring 2005, when we started "fighting back"... We snagged Qufim out from Windurst & Beastmen... Now we got Sarutabaruta? Jeez... All I need now is Derfland & Ronfaure, and I got all areas.

Bastok will overtake Windurst completely. You will become the
Republic's largest state! Then Goldsmithing Guilds, Galkan Mining Equipment
Outlets, and Hume Restaurants will open up everywhere! Heavens
Tower will be bulldozed, and it's stump torn out! WUHAHAHAHA!

Well, I don't know if I'll be playing anytime soon, but when I do, I'll be windurst, I'll be glad to help out in something as drastic.

Still <3 Bastok tho.

Outpost tele 4tw! :D

Ronfaure's next >.>

Done my outpost run already

Now as someone stated above, Ronfaure is next!!!

I'll make a call to all Bastokans! Mwahahaha

(which would be perfect as it means I can easily access both towns without much effort) ^^

Have fun if you choose to do that Windurstians. I hope our desert air doesn't dry out your fragile lungs. For my part...I will enjoy teleporting to your front door should the need arise ^^.

I couldn't believe it when I logged on yesterday and saw a message from Halifirien breaking the news to me. My countrymen and I should all feel ashamed.

Hehehe, it is pretty shameful I suppose.
Personally, I'd rather fight over a non newbie area.

Gustaberg <Thanks for the offer but I'll have to pass>

Meh, lowbie zone or not it's like having a pack of trailer park refugees claim your back yard as their own.

True, and I'd rather not get out my Schlitz Black Label and join them.

Aww, Sneaky, you don't wanna be able to outpost-tele to Bastok? And you'd rather let them rub this in your face instead of have payback? Come on, what's wrong with you?

We can't let Bastok get away with this! Take over Gustaberg!!

I don't know what all the big shock is that we "managed" to take over Sarutabaruta. Saru is the best newb farm to level a low level job purely based on the quality of drops there. You can easily farm 40k in silks alone between 1 and 10. Anybody who knows this game well would level there as apposed to Ronfaure (no highly profitable items) or Gustaberg (Bee chips and zinc ores). I personally don't take crystals into account because they drop everywhere, but I think Ronfa has the best ones. Also, if you think about it, it is better to level outside your home areas because you get something like double the CPs for it. Now what WOULD be a disgrace is if the beastmen conquered a newb farm...

Well, Taurothar...

Storyline-wise, that almost actually DID happen.

Yagudo taking over Sarutabaruta & Windurst.

It's part of the legend of Fenrir...

Some Tarutaru Summoner made a pact with Fenrir and stopped hoardes
of Yagudo dead in their tracks and owning them in Sarutabaruta... In the
process, the summoning took so much energy, he died from exhaustion.

...

/comfort Mistaya... Don't worry! I still love ya!

...

But yeah. To correct Sneakypants. It's not so much that I'm happy we
took Sarutabaruta... I mean, realistically. Anyone can take over anyone
else's backyard.

But me? I'm a travelling freak in FFXI... I mean I really AM a Travelling
Freak...

I can go anywhere, and everywhere. Even Al'Taieu... And with items like
"Ducal Guard's Ring" (Instant Warp to Ru'Lude Gardens) and "Tavnazian
Ring" (Instant Warp to Tavnazian Safehold)...

I have Teleports & Warp as a WHM & BLM, and all but 2 Outpost Warps...

Now with Sarutabaruta. I can get from my Mog House (Not Rent-A-Room, but my House) to Windurst Waters in about 120 seconds. I don't even
need the airship anymore. Hahaha

I would prefer that Windurst not be associated with anything remotely near that smelly crap town n00btok. I wouldn't mind owning Ronfaure since I go to Sandy a lot for crafting and dumping moat carps.

The funny thing about this whole thing is that it was just a small organized effort that got control of Saruta. It's not like n00btok did anything impressive, everyone's just taking credit for a small group. Of course they overlook the fact that n00btok as usual is last place in the overall ranking. If you want to do something impressive, try climbing out of the basement sometime and compete with the big boys. Sneak attacks aren't that exciting.
